Creepy Unsolved Mysteries - From unsolved murders to unidentified people to unexplained supernatural events, what are some of the creepiest unsolved mysteries you've ever heard of?

Since human trafficking was brought up, it's insane how so many are connected to wealthy Arabs.

The one that took place in California that I mentioned a page ago.

That contract guaranteed her $1,600 (£1,050) a month for eight-hour work days, five days a week, California officials said. Instead she was paid $220 a month and forced to work twice as long, according to prosecutors.

The 30-year-old Kenyan woman also alleges her passport was taken from her when she arrived in Saudi Arabia. It was only returned to her long enough for her to travel to the US with Ms Alayban.

In California, she said she was forced to perform household chores for at least eight people in four units at the same block of flats where she was allegedly held captive. When she managed to escape, she flagged down a bus driver and later went to police.

The Saudi princess also got away with it because charges got dropped so so much for punishment for crimes, lmao.

I can't imagine it's very common to kidnap old and used up bitches so I generally ignore those kinds of theories unless it's from someone kidnapped as a child, whom are actually in demand.
I would posit that most human trafficking is from semi-consenting victims.

You can put a bag over someone's head on the street or you can woo a girl and gradually pimp her out. Frog in the boiling water.

There are 10/10 girls around the world who would run off in a minute for anything ranging from diamonds in Dubai to getting away from Uncle Badtouch down on the pig farm.

Powerlevel but the only time I really got a human trafficking vibe was this. Middle of the day. I was in a mini mart and a bald man built like a fireplug came in with three cute girls in their early 20s. One thing that struck me is that they were all wearing cheap t-shirts from the area. Like the kind you could get at a thrift store.

"MERCED RODEO 2015"
"CHOWCHILLA VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT"
"MADERA HIGH SCHOOL CLASS OF 2013"

Shit like that.

Locals do wear shirts like that, but it seemed performatively local, and the girls all looked like the type who would be wearing something slightly more stylish to leave the house.

Something skeeved the man and he said, "Girls, we're going." They all left without buying anything.

Feels bad man.

Legally no. In practice yes.

There are a lot of kids who run off whose families aren't willing and/or able to find them.
You can't really do the 'consenting' argument either, if what they're consenting to is so wildly different from what they initially think they're getting themselves into. Boiling-a-frog stuff maybe in a twisted way, but bait-and-switch "come and work for us, we will pay you handsomely and not beat you or take your passport, promise... Oops, lying, soz!" is also not a situation where consent can be said to have been meaningfully given...

Those ones do fit the typical human trafficking details. What do you know, they're not usually middle class white women on holiday. And if they are, they get fucked and dumped like Natalee Holloway.

Every time it's some lower class woman with no family who either ran away or got lured in some poor country with the "you can work in America and earn way more than you'd make in *insert shithole country here.*"

That's why the Amy Lynn Bradley thing is so laughable to me. I can't believe people to this day try to give the human trafficking theory.

Again, it’s because it means there is a chance he/she is still alive somewhere and that they can be rescued like a scene out of the Taken movie series. As fucked as it sounds, this a better alternative to falling off the boat because they were drunk (Amy Bradley) or that they were raped and killed with their body disposed of who knows where (Johnny Gosch). I get wanting to still hope they’re out there but I’ve seen way too many dumpy middle aged women mainline troo crime podcasts and subreddits then thinking getting a flier on their car at the Piggly Wiggly means they are going to be next.

Natalee Holloway wasn't even trafficked; she just ran afoul of a burgeoning serial killer who had government connections.

The “Becca” Jane doe and its accompanying picture is one of few pieces of mystery media that scare me beyond belief. She was a 34 year old woman found hanging in a New Mexico motel shower around 1991. One of the only pictures of her was Polaroid of her with a random man found on a table in the room.

Let's say we go with that theory. Why would they still keep her alive at the age she is now? Realistically they would have killed her once she got too old.
.
Being forced into sex work sounds like a fate worse than death.

The awful thing is that as creepy as this image is, she was obviously just trying to be funny (and is probably high as a kite), and not long after she'd be hanging dead in a shower, nameless.

Real suicide or staged murder, what do you suspect?

The age where powerful people would pay psychos like Marc Dutroux to literally kidnap preteen girls off the street so they could be used in sex parties and to film CP and then be disposed off are luckily over. What we now see in Western Europe are transnational grooming/sex slavery rings run by ethnic minorities (e.g. Moroccans, Albanians, Arab subgroups, Slavs) who seem to target mostly girls and young women either in state care or from low-income, low education households while the more "posh" part of the flesh trade is now done through modeling schools. Also a lot of the outright criminal shit decamped to Eastern Europe and the SEA region or in the latter case was already present there (IIRC Dutch companies used to film CP in Indonesia back when it was legal/grey market).

That one of the girl who was under an overpass and the guy took pics of her and she looked terrified and he killedher. She had short brown hair. I can't remember the name but it was disturbing. I want to say it was either late 1980s or early 90s it happened

Regina Kay Walters, I think. Not unsolved -- she was a victim of serial killer Robert Rhodes, aka the Truck Stop Killer -- but easily among the most disturbing pieces of criminal evidence out there.

The context is he had already murdered her boyfriend, and he dressed her up in that and cut her hair. She was also tortured for weeks and repeatedly raped before being murdered. That picture is the last of her.

Rhodes is a walking argument for the death penalty and the fucker is still alive.
