Even the best musicians need to have some musical fuck ups from time to time. And this is where we'll share some examples of said fuck ups.

How Many Say I- Van Halen

Up until this song came on, I was ready to label Van Halen III as a fairly mediorce addition to the band's discography. Then I endured through 6 minutes of auditory toture and that one song brought this entire album down from mediorce album to the worst thing ever made by a human. David Lee Roth summed up this song perfectly by saying that it sounds like "hot water being poured on a cat".

Entire disc 2 of Ummagumma- Pink Floyd

After an amazing first disc of live performances, the band's fourth album takes a nosedive with songs that try WAY too hard to be experimental.

I love me some Blue Oyster Cult. And I don't mean just their Classic rock staples, I mean like loving whole albums of their stuff. However, the early 80s were not kind to BOC, with albums such as The Revolution by Night, and Club Ninja. This song in particular makes me die a little inside every time I hear it.

And from Blue to Black... This is Black Sabbath. Perhaps you may have heard of them. They've had a few songs. This is not one of them. The Sabotage album is honestly an apt title since this was IMO the album where the seams on the band really begun to fray. Their previous album, Sabbath Bloody Sabbath had used some synth to an effective degree, but this was just garish when paired up to the band's usual works.

Full confession time: I realize this is a terrible song. I really, really do. But for whatever reason, I still dig it in its terribleness. For me, it's one of those so-bad-it's-good deals for me, but I can at least admit that compared to most of the Priest's catalog, this is a pale attempt.

I adore Daft Punk and their Random Access Memories album, but I HATE Get Lucky. Its very repetitive and Pharrel Williams sounds like he just got kicked in the nuts, or he could be related to Mickey Mouse. Why did Get Lucky win all the awards when pretty much every other song (except lose yourself to dance which Williams also happened to sing for) on the album is so much better?

Here's the best of both worlds: Rob Halford singing with Black Sabbath for one show in 2004

This entire album. I love The Alan Parsons Project, but this album sucks in many ways that I won't even begin to describe. What went from being a neat off-shoot of Pink Floyd turned into yet another synth pop group.

Pretty much anything Prince put out between 98-01, minus One Nite Alone... And Exodus.

Not so much a song/album, but a concert tour. The 2004 Van Hagar reunion seemed like a good idea on paper and it even spawned three pretty good songs. But it all fell apart during the inevitable tour. Mainly due to Eddie Van Halen's shitty guitar playing during this time. Seriously, just try and make it through this dreck.

Reminds me of those guitar solos Jimmy Page did on Zep's 77 tour.

Eh, I both agree and disagree with you on this one.

Truth be told, the '77 tour was a very hit or miss period for Led Zeppelin. The shows ranged in quality from "I love Led Zeppelin, but this show sucked", to "This is so OK it's average", to "Holy shit! This is as good, if not better than How the West Was Won!"

Here's one of the best, it not best, Jimmy Page/Led Zeppelin perfomance bar none.

Arthur Brown!
Jimmy Carl Black!
Make an unremarkable blues album!
*sigh*
