"Junkie" implies that the person is still under the influence of drugs, to which my response would be: no, junkies shouldn't be allowed to parent their children, at least not without supervision.

There’s being sober for a long period of time, and then there’s being a junkie parent. Junkies have no place being parents since they can’t even take care of themselves.
