I expected Faye to look like the live action Starfire. I mean, I'm not going to watch it but at least she doesn't look like a dumpy prostitute.

Why is Ein on a leash? I'm surprise by how accurate-ish Spike's and Jet's costumes are, but wow, they just covered Faye up. The women is supposed to be a femme fatale and they fucked it up, and she's fat.

Did they mistake Cowboy Bebop for Blade Runner? Dingy alleways and neon lights aren't the first thing I think about when I think about Bebop, and even then, it looks like it was built behind a parking lot with no budget. Shit's cheap as hell, Jet's arm is like something you'd see in a CW production.

Biggest crime by far is taking away all of Faye's boobs and ass and covering her up. Give it to the western soyman to once again fail to understand the appeal of one of anime's most beloved waifus.

From the leaked scripts that came out forever ago there were already hints of them including immigrant commentary in there, I wonder what other modern political talking point they'll shove in there for twitter points and to please the alphabet masses.

What's even the point of making this stuff? It's going to be terrible, all of the fans of the original anime will hate it, the wokies will applaud, but not watch it, and it'll be canned in 2 months.

Faye looks SO fucking bad, this is a travesty to do that to one of anime's sexiest women.

And since when is Spike supposed to be Asian? That's never implied, oh wait, he does kung fu and can't have a non-Asian actor do martial arts anymore because that's "racist" and saying only Asian people can do martial arts is definitely not racist.

It's travesty in general, Bebop has a ton of potential for live action and this is probably going to salt the Earth on it ever being done right.

It's a shame to see it happen to Cowboy Bebop, one of my favorite things ever, not just anime.

The race swapping is so fucking bizarre because this is the one adaptation where they could've been super diverse while still being pretty faithful to the source material. Faye's explicitly a gypsie/Romani and I literally cannot think of representation of that in any sort of mainstream media. And with the fro and Spiegel surname Spike is clearly supposed to be jewish, you can even make him a super dark skinned Israeli jew if you want. I swear at one point they were even gonna race swap fucking Ein because they though it didn't matter he was a corgi, but at least they changed their mind there

The anime gave them a blank check to write whatever sort of genderqueer nonbinary POC they want for Ed so I can't wait to see the trainwreck

Real Faye was also BSing in that scene because she didn't know where she came from. Still, she needs to be absolutely gorgeous and the lady they cast is just alright looking. Also, no one is smoking, which is also sus.

But yeah, the lighting is deeply uninspired when it's obvious as fuck Cowboy Bebop is heavily influenced by the Noir genre. It's all the stuff around the actors that sucks big time.
 
Japanese media must mean the main character is also from around the area(!)

Faye was from Singapore, you had an Asian character right there.
