Probably late but according to a Netflix event that's streaming right now, they legit are just getting the original cast to reprise their roles for the Japanese dub of this shitshow.

It really goes to show how pointless it is for Japanese viewers.
Be interesting to see how Japan takes to this once it's released.

And she says it again in the movie (which pisses off a literal manwhore in a dress because he prefers boys). I hope to god Shitflix leaves Vincent and Elektra alone and I think they will, there's nothing to queer up or turn into MCU funnies with those two.

Even in the manga they say she’s a girl and even has a love interest that she named her computer after

At best be polite about it, at worst openly shit talk it.
I doubt they'll openly shit talk it unless Netflix had personally shat in each of their beds to where the actors and studio couldn't give the faintest of fucks of ever doing anything with Netflix again. However them (semi-)privately shit talking the show and having a few degrees of separation for legal CYA between them and the public getting hold of recordings of it that is more likely.

I was talking more about the general Japanese audience

Remember how the original series' design had these dazzling, colorful visuals, some of the best use of color in an animated series.

Forget that, the best color design is to make the screen full of grainy brown.
Edit I found on Twitter.

Literally all they had to do was make the water and sky blue. The brown colors makes it look more like a post-apocalyptic movie.

That twitter has to be the worst marketing campaign for any live action adaptation since holy shit they are just comparing shots to the original show, just reminding people how better the original looks.

You know it is a dark and mature scene because it has a dark blue digital filter.

Despite having them in the same pose as the original, there's something more interestingly dynamic about how the animated series went about framing this shot. Yeah, they're in front of the stained glass window, but the shots tell a different story. One shows just how trapped the two of them are together in a life-or-death situation as light streams in through on them both, but Vicious' face is the one that's illuminated, looking like an avenger angel Spike is rebelling against. The other goes "Hey, see how cool this is that they're silhouetted against the stained glass window and there's plenty of room for the two of them to escape, but they need to give each other the death glare so they have to pause like this for dramatic effect. No, you're not allowed to see their faces to know what they're thinking."
