The glimpses of the environments look too colorful, closer to the Speed Racer movie than the muted color's of the original anime.

Also no Faye dancing nude in the intro either, not that you'd want to see that version of Faye nude anyway (they kind of reference it but it's just a shot of her hands)

Normies. Because cartoons are only for kids.
Some people really do feel that way, once again I have to link to this article if I haven't already https://www.avclub.com/can-a-lifelong-anime-skeptic-learn-to-love-it-1819008164

He's also tainting the Sandman adaptation

So hit me with those rainbows if you must but maybe this will lead to the younger crowd watching the original and thus introduce it to a whole new generation.

It's still gonna suck though.

Haven't seen this post from a few days ago.

A few notable lines from that article:
"I believe we’ve done a really nice job of not violating the canon in any direction but merely offering some extra glimpses into the world that was already created.”

"I think that the poetic nature of the anime absolutely allowed for us to mine the archetypal nature of the characters and dig out deeper histories that we wanted to explore — and answer some of the questions that the anime leaves you with. I think to just redo the anime will leave an audience hungry for something that they already saw."

But tldr is bunch of words for saying not doing faithful canon and adding "our lore"/bullshit fanfiction into the adaptation, especially after seeing that horrible Gren shit.

Funny how a skimpy outfit for a female character is bad, but making a tranny looks like a cheap prostitute is good.

It's kind of a funny double standard how women are not allowed to dress sexy yet they think it's fine to make gay people look like sluts

lol so we get the clown episode, the tv L Ron Hubbard one, Gren, and the fucking eco seal nerds with mom one?
fuck this company
He was more modeled after Marshall Applewhite than L Ron.

And what's wrong with adapting the clown episode? That'd be one of the first ones I'd want to see adapted, watch them screw it up though.

yeah true, he's clearly Do'h more than Xenu, but whatever.
adapting basically any episode is what's wrong
just make more Cowboy Bebop and this time it happens to be live action

I bet they’ll make the clown episode an epic action episode instead of being creepy
And it'll probably look the same as the other episodes instead of looking different visually to emphasize the tone.

Even I can't blame them for wanting to directly adapt some episodes, the trouble is they'll probably do it poorly.

In fact I almost wish every episode was an adaption so I could more easily ignore it, the fact that we finally get new Bebop content after 20 years and it's this makes things even worse to some degree.

So when they said that Yoko Kanno was going to do the score, what they actually meant was that they were just going to re-use the anime's soundtrack. Because that's what they're telling me with this clip.

The lack of effort or care is almost impressive at this point. This is the most cynical of cash grabs that I've seen in a while.

I'm not mad that they used Tank for the opening credits (or trailer ... Whatever the fuck this was). I'm mad that they used the EXACT same audio from the anime. Couldn't bother to hire a band to do their own take on the song, or something?
