Imagine my utter lack of surprise.

John Cho: lol I have Hollywood calling, I don't care.
Jet: Hey, I had fun and the fans seemed to like me, so I like to think I did alright.
Faye: REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

Probably...
John Cho's only acting worth mentioning is that he was Sulu in the meh Star Trek movies and that we was in every Harold & Kumar movie, other than that?
Yeah, sure, John, Hollywood is calling.

More likely probably not...

But I hope that Mustafa Shakir who played Jet Black gets more work in the industry, I liked his performance as Jet Black.

"Hello, John? yes we need an asian."

I could feel bad for all the actors and I do, but wow am I glad that this failed and put another anime adaptation in the dirt.
I hate what Netflix does to good franchises.

While I don't like the fact that many people lost their job, this isn't a surprise to me. It wasn't good, it wasn't "so bad its good", it was forgivably mediocre bad.

I hope Netflix learned their lesson, of liv- action remaking something, while understanding what made the original so fondly remember, but I would be too optimistic about that. See you (never), (live-action) Space Cowboy.

Now, still waiting for Netflix's None Piece...

Jet was good - granted he was the only one actually trying, but still i give him credit for it. It's not easy when everyone else was either zoned out or hamming it up like crazy.
Every episode had something like 5 minutes of "Yeah this is nice, this feels right" but you had to paddle through some much garbage.

Jet was good, and I don’t blame Ed’s actor for what was clearly the fault of the director. They both actually knew the show and wanted to do the character’s justice. Cho didn’t really seem to care too much, and we l know about Faye’s actress.

She apparently was actually a Bebop writer's personal assistant but that doesn't make it any less funny. Also a radical eco-leftoid, raging lesbo, rootless jew against borders and private ownership, and avid consumer of Contrapoints and Vaush (though, prefers when Vaush doesn't claim that bLack separatists genociding whitey would be a bad thing). Just your average Netflix employee..

"People lost their jobs!"

Not my fault. If anyone's to blame it's writers like her for writing a shitty show nobody wants to watch, and the producers for letting it happen. If they made a good show, those people would still be employed.

Between the fact Watanabe barely having any real input, the showrunner not understanding the tone, the lead writer treating this show like another marvel cartoon they wrote, and these subpar writers, no wonder this is such a shit show. These are the types of people (excluding Watanabe obviously) who should stay away from really any show and it’s sad they won’t be shamed as much for creating trash.

With how low people's expectations were all they had to was make it at least halfway decent and than people would be pleasantly surprised. You need to at least keep the heart of the original alive.

Also putting your staff through a PR class to learn the basics of how to communicate with the public. Learn things like yes the general public can be assholes but yes you must still remain civil.
