Sure, most, if not every, jurisdiction in the first world has some kind of vaccine database. The question which they were asking is what vaccine database is being cross-referenced by the HR department of a (presumably) private company and how are they accessing that database. In my jurisdiction that database is not accessible to private companies. Presumably most jurisdictions operate the same way. I’m sceptical that a private company can access a vaccine database, that sounds like BS.
My job wrote a carefully-worded, yet stern, company memo. "Not getting the jab is Unacceptable Behavior". Unvax will be restricted to their cubes - No meetings, no public areas. Essentially segregation. Seems COMPLETELY illegal. There are people with medical conditions and religious beliefs against the vax.
I need this job. I can be an absolute dick, start a lawyer-fight, lose my job, and make bank in 10 years. Maybe.

Last I checked this was supposed to be our reassurance that we cannot be discriminated against in the work place based on vaccine guidances. Mind you, this was before Biden decided to "strongly encourage" all businesses to implement some form of enforcement for the vax on their employees. Therefore I have no idea if this is still helpful or not. Could be useful in court maybe.
The president has neither the power to implement nor enforce vaccine mandates unilatirally. His suggestion can be turned aside by businesses. But because he opened his yap, and did so vaguely, businesses are starting to do everything from charge extra for insurance to terminate employment, all because an employee or student didn't get the jab.
Makes me wonder about those who have medical reasons with doctor signatures backing it up. Wouldn't all this count as inarguable and indefensible discrimination against them? It's not even a choice for them like the rest of us. It's a matter of medical necessity that they don't get the Covid vax.

Since all you need to do realistically is not fear being doxxed. If you don't fear that, you could:
Bring it up to HR. Consult a lawyer and start a suit. Spread the news via social media (which will get pulled, but that's part of he plan). Contact slightly alternative outlets like Veritas (you could do that before anything else and see if they want to run a short story on your company with the internal memo you received) or Spiro, or someone more mainstream, etc. Then after you get some face-time, start a very patriotic GoFundMe. Once the GoFundMe gets pulled down--you'll be famous enough to get on Fox News. Then the sky's the limit.
Start an open blog (with donations, of course) and Youtube channel chronicling your difficulties because of the vaccine mandates from private companies. Use said blog and video accounts on Tube, Odysee, Campfire or whatever it's called, etc. to also spread awareness of other's struggles. Have on guests who voice their difficulties and maybe start GoFundMe's for them, too. Slowly grow a small but useful network over the span of the next year or two.
Get invited to speaking engagements with minor but notable politicians and celebs. After that you can get a book deal, have your book pulled from online shelves because Payment Processors, and have it put back onto shelves after enough outcry for your book is given. Half-joking. Really, I'm sorry to hear that, man. I've been hurting for work myself and this isn't making life easier. I mean, we DO need a court precedent to show that private corporations can't discriminate based on vaccination status, but no one wants to be a martyr. If you did end up taking your job to court it at least wouldn't be impossible to win; it's not like you're suing the pharmaceutical industry or government. However, that's a huge and heavy bullet to bite, especially if you can't get other coworkers in on this (if you could, it might be reasonable to consider it, though). And I'm sure your union is as useless as every other, too (useless sacks of filth never help with anything that doesn't line their pockets or ideology (personal experience)).
tl;dr All I know is that struggling for money is better than death, unless that struggle means death. Taking the vax is a roll of the dice as to whether you get heart disease, too. You're in an unenviable position, one that all of us might face at some point very soon.
