I know this genre generally gets a lot of hate from zoomers, but country music has recently had a revival of sorts, with country artists holding all three of the top songs in the world for the first time in history, so with that, this is a thread to discuss country music artists Here are some I enjoy.

I unironically started listening to the local country channel again about a year and a half ago, because pop music right now sucks dick and at least country musicians play actual instruments.

some of my favorites

Holy fuckin' based. Two very under-rated artists. They both had some big hits, but these days when people talk about 90's-2000's country, they rarely get a mention. Gary is an all time favorite for me. It Ain't the Whiskey, Don't Tell Mama, Today, It Would Be You, and so many more are just phenomenal. I saw him in concert a while back. Small venue, not too many people, but the ones who were there were hyped. I remember, he and the band acted like they were done and leaving. Then a few minutes later he comes back out and does a surprise "It Ain't the Whiskey" encore, people lost their minds.

Chris Cagle is great too. Loredo is a deep cut that spotify rarely plays on any country playlists unless you look for it, but I love it.
