Converting MP3 or WAV into sheet music

Anyone know of a way to do this directly? The apps I looked at (e.x. Notion 6) seem to require you to convert it into MIDI first, which is causing issues with some of the tracks I'm using.

In order to do that, you'd need to analyze the waveform and figure out which keys and chords are being played and when. MIDI files literally are a music score, so they're very easy to convert to sheet music. If there was well-known software that quickly and conveniently made guitar tabs out of nothing, nobody would beg for guitar tabs. The next best thing we have is, of course, listening to it and transcribing it by hand.
