To clarify, @Vingle, it's not the simple circles that makes them "dead eyes", nor the full-black eyes themselves. It's the overall design.
Like @Toolbox pointed out, the Squishmallows and Bellizis are "blobs" with simple eyes tacked on, while things like things like Rilakuma have the proportions that make something actually cute.
As an example, compare the feature (eyes, forehead, mouth, head shape) manipulations in these images:

The "Travis Scott Meal" they had at McDonald's last year seemed pretty consoomer. His favorite order isn't really anything all that special, and yet because his name is attached to it, that automatically makes it worth buying. Nevermind the fact that I doubt Travis Scott, with all of the money he has, eats at McDonald's all that often.

Even when we look at Korilakuma, and the body is a smaller, recolored version of the main bear, it makes sense because they're both bears based on traditional teddy bears. They don't then paint it yellow and say "Oh, this one is Kiiroitori now."

I have first hand experience with sqwashmallows at work, a whole shipper of about 30 of the little buggers will go in a fucking week, and you'll get women calling in about them 2 weeks later.

Just thought of another kind of consoomer that I don't recall being brought up yet: audiophiles.

What I hate the most about audiophiles is that they care more about the technical aspects of the sound than the art. They all have horrible taste in music, it's truly incredible how I've never met an audiophile in my life who isn't a listener of boring daddy boomer rock or some similar shit.

Now just for laughs let's appreciate this classic:

The dude spent 3 years worth of his salary in a god-tier audio system but didn't acoustically treat his room. he literally listens to music in his kitchen.

I cannot understand why these people cannot admit they just like the sound of records or like collecting them and shut up with the psuedoscientific nonsense. No your disc made of plastic is not better at storing data than a box of magnetic transistors. Stop acting like it is and enjoy it for what it is.

I am not as much of an audiophile, but my understanding is that vinyl was still lossless audio. Maybe newer stuff recorded with modern equipment can produce higher quality sound but vinyl is still > cassette, cd, 8track, etc. I admit I am not that into music so I am probably getting something wrong.

The separate pole is lunacy obviously.

Vinyl can only record as well as the machine that's recording the audio, and even then it has to be of a specific format to work with all players, and it's limited to two channel audio when digital audio can have more. I don't think it's technically truly lossless, just analog.

Obviously the mastering process will partly determine how a recording will sound, but the dynamic range of vinyl in and of itself is inferior to that of a well mastered CD or lossless digital recording. There are inherent qualities to vinyl that make it sound "warmer", but at the end of the day it's distortion, and not related to the music being played. Depending on what type of music you're playing (like classical, for example) it can really dampen the audio quality of the music.
