But why? Has he ever come out and said why he feels this way? What was it about that movie that turned him off adoption instead of reading real world stories of people who were adopted?
It's really all just his :autism: and his need to be 3edgy5u. I also remember him saying that the adoptive mother had a demanding high income job that would take too much of her time and she had gotten a divorce before the adoption went through, so poor babby was going to be raised in a single parent household. Not that being raised by both his birth parents did Connor himself any good.

If the movie had Molly Ringwald in it, he would be praising it as a brilliant breakthrough in film.

I wonder how he feels about books/movies like The Rescuers, Angels in the Outfield and Oliver Twist? Lots of endings involving adoption there.

Didn't he actually say that his issue with adoption was that he was scared that he'd become sterile from whacking it too much and therefore ~have to adopt? I just remember some exceptional train of thought about that.

He won't have to worry about that. He's doing a good enough job of being inadvertently sterile by his personality and actions.

I'm almost certain that Connor's adoption hate is because he thinks/wishes he was adopted by his "abusive" parents.

I get the feeling that Connor hates children's films. He never talks about them, at least.

Good memory dude, that's fact based on the online. The only thing we have to consider is how true it is, because Connor says a lot of things in the heat of the moment that he forgets or ignores.

I think it's because he legitimately can't comprehend someone actually loving something they aren't sexually attracted to or related to, so he thinks that anyone who adopts a kid must have ulterior motives for doing so and probably abuse the shit out of the kid because they don't care.
You honestly fucking believe that there are people in this garbage can world that are willing, for whatever stupid reason, to adopt children and love them unconditionally with no ulterior motives? Fuck you.

If I were in that boy's position, I wouldn't even regard Jennifer Garner's character as a mother. But I guess I'd be expected to love the bitch anyway, in spite of her absences.

Don't forget his previous posts in the thread!

"The problem is that its too good to be true. Any student of human history can tell you that we're such pleasant creatures, capable of mass murder and other acts of depravity more often than we're capable of goodness."

"You're forgetting that it could sometimes cost up to hundreds of thousands of dollars to adopt a child, and on top of that, you have to go through a smorgasbord of legal and psychological screenings as part of the home study. It doesn't stop some adoptive parents from going over the edge."

"As harsh as it sounds, a lot of adoptive parents don't bond with their children, either because the children don't meet their expectations or because of their own serious character defects. The adopted child internalizes the disappointment, the rejection, and the cycle of emotional abuse/neglect continues. Sometimes, it escalates into violence."

Real talk...why the fuck doesn't Connor buy a pair of normal glasses? I swear it would bump up his sex appeal by 20%

from like negative 20%
Because he has this weird fascination with that particular style of glasses. Even in RE I think he makes it a point to tell the reader that Eva wears those type of glasses every other sentence. I think it's because characters in old 80's movies usually wear them, and because he's obsessed with those movies he's grown fond of that style.
