Ultimately it's not about the color of his skin, if he was a white man they'd still be assblasted because he exposed their grift. The fact that he's a successful black man no doubt ups their vitriol but I don't really think it's the key factor here.

What? How is he fucking with Comicsgate? Isn't it the opposite. EJ had his charityy sabotaged, his relatives' grave was violated, and his fans aren't able to share the universe on communities like Reddit. Whole communities were poisoned against him. Neither EVS nor Zack will truthfully tell you why they hate him. In spite of all this the man is still successful. Honestly, they should both be grateful EJ isn't directly friends with someone of the more "aggressive" communities. The amount of stupid shit they say and do makes them really soft targets.

If they want to blame someone for hurting CG blame Zack. Zack killed CG a long time ago by pretending to be an uninvolved third party. He gave it no promotion and very little air. CG could have actually morphed into something larger, but Zack distanced himself from it. This lack of any real promotion or momentum caused it to remain as a bunch of spergs fighting on twitter. tbf, He didn't want to lead a movement, he just wanted to sell his generic offbrand capeshit. if CG wants to be mad at someone they should be mad at their glorious leader Zack. . Even when I was a diehard CGer before EVS took over I realized this. When EVS bought the brand he ran off everyone and shrunk it. Now it exists largely as a dead part of his brand.

The reality is that no one knows or cares about CG. EVS has no intention of CG becoming some massive brand anyway. Think about it, he burned bridges with a large fanbase in FNT and he's turned CG into a cult that streams about EJ all day. They never deliver books on time and they are stagnant.

Nigga, why would you say this? Not only will this be used against you, but it just makes you sound like a racist. "I helped out a colored bc of muh white guilt." This is just such a stupid move from an optics standpoint. Not to mention, it tells other creators that your efforts are insincere.

My take is that rather than racist, at this stage YBZ and even more so CG are desperate for any attention they can get in order to monetize their dwindling views and crowdfunds. Problem is of course that those around Comicsgate already realized that ignoring it is the best way to hurt it.

Ergo, by implying racism (sincere or not) and skating along the edge of the N word regarding Eric July they hope to push the guy into replying. preferably in a passionate, irate way, and feeding them some attention... Van Sciver specially may crave a good ol' CG versus anything internet flame war that might revive his pariah status and hence his career as a shock jock.
