It’s free. It’s just her making posts on twitter for five days on how to break into comics by giving the most shit advice possible.

My theory is that the corona virus shutting down the conventions is really putting a hurting on these SJWs wallets. That’s why they are playing nice now. They sent Mags to try and talk to Ethan and Zack about peacing things up, but too much damage has been done already.
They see the writing on the wall now that both Disney and AT&T are losing money and they are scared. Notice how Gail recently started making youtube videos in an attempt to humanize herself to the audience. All of a sudden politics don’t matter anymore and they need new blood. The normies and people who don’t really pay attention to the industry but want to make comics are eating this up. She is building up an audience to sell books to in the future, so I can’t knock her for that since to the uninitiated she sounds rather genuine even though she is talking to everyone like they are five.

I like to think that eventually people will see these posts for the bizarre shit it really is.

Of course, we can't judge the work before it comes out, but by all appearances he's approaching Bendis-territory with this shit.



Things were well on trac- well actually no they were not, Curtis is half a year behind on this 36 page debut presumably because his artist had previous arrangements doing art for MILFToons by the looks of it, but in any case, this week "Grok Comics" debuted a new character to his "Christian 90s-comic"-themed "Tribulation Taskforce" roster, Eli Caldwell, "wealthy, disgraced MMA fighter who encounters tragedy and starts fighting crime as The Thief in the Night". How 90s is it do you ask? I shit you not, Grok Comics offers pogs as a stretch goal.



Of course, Micah's project is already funded, backed by Comicsgate and he's had almost a year head start to get his 36 page pamplet out the door and firmly establish himself as the originator of the concept of "guy who was trained in fighting fights crime", so he has nothing to wor- No wait, Micah immediately threatened an internet lolsuit over Twitter.

Micah then sought to outdo his own retardation by pushing forward a conspiracy theory that Doug TenNapel was some sort of gay op mastermind behind Martina Markota's "Lady Alchemy" crowdfund being dead in the water from fulfillment, instead of the increasingly accepted theory that Martina is an idiot who spends her time livestreaming reading from textbooks and begging for superchats instead of working on her comic book.

Now Micah's egregious simping for Lady Alchemy has caught the attention of the Dick Show, because Doug can get on streams like that, while Martina has to show up on fucking Wenger's stream.

I used to listen to a few of his streams and watch a few of his videos before (this is well before CG went into maximum exceptional overdrive), and he seemed fairly level headed back then, but now? Now (or essentially since he hitched his tent with EVS) he has ridiculously become combative, obnoxious, fanatical, and flat out stupid.

I bet he even forgot it existed like most people did because nothing was happening with that book. Don't know why Martina didn't go on though, Dick is pretty fair and will let you say your piece even if he thinks you're full of shit. Both parties are pointing fingers at each other on every platform they can get on, but from what I gathered what happened was this:
During the height of Comicsgate as a trend, Martina opted out of involving any sort of even marginally credible comic creator from Comicsgate to work on her comic book and instead chose for some based and redpilled groypers to write and draw her project for her. Martina didn't think to supply either of these Baked Alaska-content afficianados with any sort of creative direction or oversight either, and they didn't think to go ahead and ask for it. Basically, nobody involved knew what a properly run project looked like and had no frame of reference when things started to go wrong.

Update: According to further information from the writer, what actually happened was that he and the other groyper were already in a 7 month creative collaboration when they saw that Martina was starting up a comic crowdfunder and went to her intending to put the "Lady Alchemy" brand on their presumably underperforming project. Martina accepted, with the groypers operating under the understanding that she was the fundraiser/face and they were the writer and artist with complete creative autonomy, and Markota operating with the understanding that she was the one raising the money and paying these two, she was in effect their employer and paying them to make a comic book about Lady Alchemy.

According to Markota, what the writer turned out was some sort of mashup between V for Vendetta and Jojo's Strange Adventure with the V analogue being some sort of TUG-tier edgy faceless cipher that usurps Lady Alchemy's role as protagonist, right down to the faceless mask and copyrighted IP of a major corporation (apparently the character was created by Moebius/Marvel). Meanwhile, the artist had trouble with basic anatomy and perspective, and really needed pictures of Martina in her underwear reclining and modelling for shots for him to trace over. Which she actually complied with.



Like, imagine if she went to someone like Kyle Ritter for this? That motherfucker colored Wart the Wizard for a TikTok of Mandy Summers' flat ass, according to Warcampaign. If he had this arrangement he would have turned out an Eisner nominee within 4 weeks.

But I digress. Once completed work started being delivered to Martina, she refused to accept it and the creative team refused to accept her complaints as legitimate. I agree with the substance of Markota's complaints about the trite and derivative nature of the story turned out, but at no point does she say she actually outlined in detail the alchemical themes and such she wanted included. The writer in turn is trying to present Martina as merely the "face" and spokesperson of a product where the writing was done by him and drawn by the other groyper, without any creative input or credit given to Markota. But since the entire fucking comic is an idealized biography of Markota, that's an absurd claim to make. Soon complaints of "e-girl trying to turn innocent groypers into obedient simps and hijack our based catboi movement" started getting thrown around and the whole thing exploded into the mess we see today.

we’ve been over this before. We know what he did and why he left. Doug is scum. Everyone he associates with when it comes to comics inevitably gets fucked over. There’s a growing list of names of people whose careers have taken a turn for the worse or their credibility has taken a hit since they have started associating with him.
