I searched and found no discussion on this. CBB is a great and storied podcast going back more than a decade. The premise is any comedian who's free to attend the show is invited to do a fictional character who then submits to an interview and tries to give the funniest answers possible. Quality varies based on the comedians, obviously, but you can find participants you like and then enjoy dozens or hundreds of hours of content with them.

Am I really the only Kiwi who enjoys CBB?

I enjoyed the TV show. Thanks for reminding me to torrent it.

I remember the tv show as well, it was funny enough at the time. Not sure if it holds up.
I like the podcast way better than the TV show tbh. No visuals really makes it pure "interrogation comedy". It's just challenging questions and creative answers.

Probably. I can take it or leave it. Improv comedy is the lowest form of comedy, and if the show is ever funny its usually in the meta aspect of a """comedian""" getting jerked around by the host.

It's funny you link this one, because I do enjoy this bit specifically because it's everyone torturing Will Hines (as usually happens when he's on.) You definitely have to find topics/characters/bits who charm you to properly enjoy an episode.

I'm a big fan of Gino Lombardo for example. Scott's previous "intern" Jessica Wompler was also consistently funny but not as good as Gino.

Edit to add: It's also funny when the opposite of "the host jerks around the comedian" happens. My favorite characters sometimes are when someone pretends to know Scott from his personal life, and then forces him to "yes and" to extremely embarrassing things for the entire episode.
