Comebacks - old artists returning with fresh material
Tears for Fears - The Tipping Point is probably the one comeback album right now I've been obsessed with. It really does feel like an evolution of their 80s sound.
Usually when artists I liked as a kid make new material it seems like it's always with some new sound or style that's missing the element that made them likeable in the first place. I like blink-182's new song that's playing everywhere lately. I think they have a new album and I haven't heard all of it so idk how that is. I'm actually not sure if they've been releasing music this whole time but they seem to be relevant all the sudden again. I liked this song not even so much for the subject matter, but because it has their signature sound. It brings back a lot of nostalgia just to hear it even though it's new.
