It was me. They were paying like $500 a pop to explain right-wing memes to them. Any of you would have done the same.

I assume Clay has been provided a new identity, safe house and elaborate backstory. Perhaps they had him shave his hair bald and grow a goatee and opened a Krispy Kreme specifically to make him a shift manager the other side of the country. A ghost of sorts.
