I'd agree, but it's a coin flip with his demographic. Realistically, the people who watch content on iD, Apogeee and 3D Realms probably comprises of young-to-middle-aged men and, as of late, reaction video VTubers as something to bounce up and down to and pause every 30 seconds to say dumb woman shit or "whoa that's crazy" for free views. The fan base seems to enjoy him in spite of himself, and Cancer Mouse is a good example. CM was originally supposed to be a stand-in for boomer opinions or what Civvie considers troll takes, only for the viewers to unironically view CM as based and as an enjoyable returning character. I'm surprised Civvie hasn't pulled a Joker and have Cancer Mouse sodomized by a guard bot to spite his audience.

I'm both surprised and not that Civvie hasn't covered either of the Citadel games, although I think I vaguely remember him offhandedly mentioning the first in a roundup video. I'd like to see his reaction to the suicide bombers in hijab. The gameplay mechanics are some of the most enjoyable I've experienced in an FPS in a while. It starts as a slow methodical pop-and-shoot to flying around as a rampaging death machine. The story itself is pretty interesting, could have done without the Martyr's backstory. Gore in video games has never really bothered me, but something about those first few hours in TC/BC just feels... wrong. The model damage deformation is gnarly for the level of graphical simplicity and the gasps for breath from mortally wounded enemies sell the intensity. Props for having one of the most horrifying burning death animations I've ever seen.

I gave the games a shot and they're several level better the average Trooner Shooter slop. Fantastic amount of gun autism, a lot of edge that is genuinely disturbing and it's legitimately difficult and makes you play smart rather than just picking enemies from the other side of the arena in endless levels (though it might devolve into that).

I don't think civvie is a God tier fps player to not rock cross hairs. Mid player at best, he had difficulty with Daikatana lol.

In his defense, he never really claimed to be a l33t fps'er. He even noted how much he sucked at Doom Eternal.
