Unlike previous rumours they somehow managed to keep most of their air Force brand new su-30s in service.

Can't wait thermobarics to be used on anti maduro neighborhoods.

Anyway, can't wait for millions of Venezuelans to escape to Brazil and collapse our welfare state.
Brazil has welfare? With what money?

They also get... wait for it, a box full of food

If you want to laugh harder maduro declared that those boxes were a step forward to obtain "alimentary sovereignty" the truth is that all those items are from Mexico, all the factories and companies that made those things here were destroyed expropriated and well we all know how that ended
I ate better than that while at a homeless shelter. Hell, I'd bet that at the vast majority of homeless shelters, the people there eat better than that. Significantly.

If the food issued to soldiers in Venezuela isn't as good as a homeless shelter's in the United States, I can only imagine how bad the food at a Venezuelan homeless shelter could possibly be.

None. I imagine there aren't any operating shelters by now. This is all too similar to the John Ringo Bolo Novel.

Aside from that, it's a wonder there even still is a Venezuelan military if that socialist paradise can't even feed its own soldiers. It's making North Korea's KPA look like a formidable fighting force.

From my understanding, Venezuela was a one-dimensional economy that relied on petrol, and things went to shit when they ran out of it. Add to economic collapse a Stalin fanboy doing everything he can to stay in power and you have the perfect shitstorm.

Actually no, Venezuela still has oil, and before Chavez, had a semi decent amount of support industry. Its just that its hard to process, so hard, that the USA was the only nation with the facilities capable of doing so. So Chavez decided to make enemies of America. Go look up Peter Zeihans videos for more on the story regarding the oil.

Other than that, suffice to say that the Socialists did largely what Mugabe did. Ethnically based land distribution. But it even worse. Maduro and Chavez had somehow figured out how to also mismanage everything else in Venezuela even harder than the niggers in South Africa.

Its sad and hilarious. Yes, the old rightwing fascist were corrupt and grift happy, but they kept the place running. South America as a whole is in for some fun times.

In fact, Venezuela has larger oil reserves than Saudi Arabia. It's just hard to process.

A nice summary. Also, Peter Zeihan videos are a fun watch in general. For Americans. For Butthurt Europoors, it counts as a war crime to force them to watch them.

Its not that hard, we created a entire industrial complex to convert heavy oil in light but almost all the tech was american, when chavez began his lunacy the plant began to require shitload of repairs and complete maintenance stop until it breaked completely, i know that fact because i used to work in the complex in the yearly maintenances (Long hours but shitload of money), That was 2 years ago, the plant is complete useless now and Maduro refuse to bring people from USA to help repair the damn thing

That is correct, that is why Chavez managed to last shitload of years, every stupidity he did was easily plugged with oil money, but he naively believed that this was going to last forever, come the crash of the oil prices and now we are not in the cool guys club anymore because we are poor as shit

In other news today:

There have been roads shutting down all over the place, two unknown vans appeared in the main city and opened fire on protesters, a reporter was shot in the leg with a tear gas grenade, fiber optic cables have been cut so there's no telephone service in 5 states, the Vice President has said "Only we can govern this country. There is is no alternative; They are unable to govern, they are incapable" to the Council of Ministers.

Oh, and there was an Earthquake too.

Btw, here's the Constituent Assembly that's announced today that they are superior to all other branches of the Government and are gonna be drafting a New Constitution for Venezuela.

The Red is the Pro-Maduro faction. The gray are literally empty seats.

So this has been front page news everywhere right? Since a country is literally collapsing before our eyes? I assumed Venezuela was fine since no major outlet has said anything.
Some fatty saying he's gonna try to fire a firework at an island no one cares about is more important than one of the World's most oil rich nations becoming a despotic hell-hole.

I hope they have more helicopters than they can afford. Otherwise it might descend into machetes and things like that.

What would be unusual at all about an oil-rich nation becoming a despotic hellhole?

Usually they still have the oil working to fund it, don't they?

Oddly, both the oil-rich nations and the multinational corporations dealing in oil often benefit from the infrastructure being shitty, resulting in less production. OPEC was an often successful way of creating scarcities like this.

It doesn't work if you're the only nation failed enough not to be able to produce oil, though.
