This is a CISA commercial, it violates COPPA. without question MFA / 2fa collects user information, this is targetted at children, this is the promotion of data collection, one more reason we MUST ABOLISH CISA!
we do not need this fucking organization as I'd stated before, they do nothing but cause us problems, they need to go.
Call your reps and tell them you do not support CISA and you want it GONE, that's how you save your privacy, you make problems for representatives and regulators.

The video is not a YouTube Kids video and normal YouTube has a requirement to be at least 13 years of age. COPPA applies to < 13 years of age and the child actor could easily be 13. Therefore the video's audience is not covered by COPPA.

Even if CISA published this under YouTube Kids and had a clearly much younger actor, they would still not be violating COPPA as the burden of compliance is on the website operator.

They should instead be criticized for their advocacy of insecure MFA methods. Also this video is from 2024.

COPPA is unconstitutional. It compels websites to have a privacy policy which is compelled speech. It also infringes on the rights of children themselves, and infringes on the rights of platforms to freely express whatever they want to whomever audience they want.

Heh heh... you're so right... freedom of speech...

tl;dw, what type of 2FA is the video talking about, because stuff like TOTP absolutely doesn't collect user data at all if you use a good code generator (like a nitrokey)
