Does Mr. Rogers count as Christian media? Dude was a christ' himself, which some may consider him to be the only true successful televangelist out there.

that "Mormon Jesus" cartoon is narrated by the same guy who narrated Alan Smithee Dune
but yeah Greatest Adventure has some great casting, like iirc Tim Curry is The Serpent and Judas

Does Kingdom of Heaven: Directors Cut count?
Of course. If you want to go even further you could point out a catholic character from a work that isn't explicitly catholic.

For example: The Dresden Files

The Dresden books are ostensibly a book series about detective wizards and a pulpy more optimistic Constantine kind of character. But it has some of the finest depictions of honest to god paladins and angels in the medium.

Michael carpenter. There's no twist, no secret to his character. He's a family man who has a holy sword that smites evil.

It's rare to see a book series these days consistently have a catholic role model for the MC to consult and look up to in times of need. We are talking about a guy so good he literally puts Harry to shame.

I love the way the author wrote the angel Uriel. He clearly did the research and there are some amazing conversations.

There's no moment where the forces of god ever turn evil or anything. They are an unironic, positive, constant and subtle force for good. Which I thought was immensely refreshing.

Gravel peril and Death Masks are good starter reads respectively. They're not in every book but if you can read though the series, Ghost Story and Skin Game towards the end are amazing.

Watched The Passion Of The Christ the other day. The crucifixion scene was the closest any media piece got me to tearing up.
The way Judas went in Jesus of Nazareth really got to me. If he was a decent fellow all along that is the best depiction of him possible.

Somebody who thinks Jesus is so awesome he'll convince everyone in court, and when that doesn't work He gives into despair and condemns himself to death. Something obvious that floored me in hindsight, was the fact that Jesus would have forgiven him if he had held on a little longer.

I really enjoyed Lost Souls with Winona Ryder.

The Swedish Arn movies were unironically great, and the most expensive Swedish productions ever at that time. They're based off the Arn : The Knight Templar books.

I remember first watching The Passion Of The Christ with my grandmother when I was really young and being scarred shitless by all of the violence. It really does make you appreciate Jesus more by seeing him go through all those awful events yet still retain his love for humanity.

I remember watching it with my church youth group, and all of the girls and half of the boys were crying by the end of it. I had to leave the room during the scene where He's getting nailed to the cross because it was so upsetting to watch- though I'm also super squeamish, which definitely didn't help lmfao. A fantastic movie, but a hard watch for sure.

It was the whipping scene for me. I felt sick watching it, so it delivered on the feelings. And the demons tormenting Judas was disturbing as well. I hope the sequel is just a good.
