I will use someone's preferred pronouns not because there is some divine mandate or moral obligation, but because I choose to do so.
When I meet a trans person and I see they're putting some effort into it, sure why not? But much in the same way respect is earned so is disrespect, and I reserve the right to at anytime decide that I don't feel like playing pretend, or upholding the social niceties. Chris-chan never really had my respect so I never saw the point in his his preferred pronouns.

But this comes down to a fundamentally different mindset I have to the pronoun police in twitter, I will treat people as individuals, regardless of their arbitrary classification. I will not respect someone's personal pronouns just because they're trans or non-binary or whatever make-believe term they've come up with, I will do so when I choose to do so, as a show of decency or respect and I will not do so when I no longer feel like playing pretend or as a show of disrespect.

Ironically one of the things I dislike the most is people telling me what to think, feel or believe. What can I say I like me some liberty and freedom. So right off the bat I already have a lot of problems with the outspoken parts of the LGBTQQIAAA2SPP+ community who feel very self entitled to try and exert control over other people.

TL;DR: It's like calling someone a cunt, I probably won't call you a cunt when I meet you, but if you start acting in a way that I find unrespectable (say you rape your mother) I'll probably call you a cunt and worse.
