I also think the guy who wrote the Nintendo Power article on his video is probably the biggest troll in Christory. No one in their right mind would watch that video and think "Hey, let's give this guy some publicity!"
The purpose of Nintendo Power (and most other video game magazines, FTM) isn't to educate or inform or present varying viewpoints. Their sole purpose is to market video games under the guise of articles, rather than just blatantly running ads.

More than likely, the Big N wanted to to do something to generate interest/sales in Animal Crossing, and CWC's documentary arrived at the perfect time.

Damn, I never knew Chris made a video for Adult Swim. Only remembered the Guitar Hero crap.

Can't believe Nintendo published him twice.

Nice choice of the screenshot with Chris being dismayed over his gift (fake Lego set).

It certainly fulfilled the need to show what could be done in the game, so it obviously worked for them (of course leaving out those small details on "Sonichu" so we didn't know he was autistic at all).

Última edición:
It is a well done documentary but is the guy who made it using a voice synthesizer or something? Sometimes, it seems like he's mispronouncing words or putting the emphasis on the wrong syllables.

Also it really bothers me when he pronounces "Rosechu" as Rosa-chu...
It's not a documentary, it's more of a re-hashed chronology. At least @spylobster talked to people from special-ed about Chris' mental state.

My main problem with this series is the narrator's insistence on pronouncing misspellings as they are literally written.

I'm enjoying this. I have trouble keeping track of chronology in the fragmented way Chris is documented. This is helping me see his awetistic development

I listened to the first 3 parts at work last night. It was fine, I liked it. A lot of it was stuff that I hadn't read in nearly a decade and I'm not an autistic teenager that will just sit there and read random CWCki pages for hours anymore, so it was nice to have a thorough refresher on pretty much everything of note. Guy seems fine too, I really dont see how he is weening at all. If he's a ween than so is everyone on this forum and anyone who ever had a part in the CWCki. Its just discussion and presenting facts, hes not touchinpoo or anything. Plus I work a shitty braindead job so I appreciate any form of long audio entertainment.

I kinda just want him to get on to the house fire to present. It's the only era that people haven't beaten into the ground analyzing, probably because they don't want to alog a tranny.

I've always pronounced it that way myself. In fact I'm sure I've heard Chris himself pronounce it that way as well.

That's the way I hear it as well. I'm sure Chris thinks he's clever in how he pronounces his names like that. I'm sure he's following the same BS convention he used for describing Sonichu's name being based on Sonic's Japanese name (Sonikku).

Nah, according to Chris' canon, it's Rose-chu, two syllables, not Rosa-chu, three syllables. He's very particular about this and for some reason it really pisses him off when people mispronounce it. I can't remember which video it was, but there was some video where he was chimping out about it.

I wouldn't doubt someone started out over the odd way he pronounced it in one video without thinking. But yeah, I suppose it stuck with us for that reason.

It's possible, but I'd like to see an actual example of him doing it. Pronunciation is going to be something where he decides on how it should be when he first thinks up the name, and then autistically sticks to it from then on. Especially if it pissed him off enough to tard out and make a video about it.

Part three is spending too much time talking about the comic.

The comic does not need a documentary.

I am a newcomer to the Chris Chan stuff-I heard of him, in passing from Fish Stick on a Stick and more in depth from Fredrik Knudson, and Wow. I watched all three parts of this Doc, this guy has got a lot of work ahead of him.
