That sounds like opiate withdrawal, which is slightly more fun than being being beaten with a 2x4. I've never gone through it, but I was present to watch over someone going through it (they didn't want metadone, they wanted to be completely clean) and it was pure hell for them.

Horrendous as opiate withdrawals are, the physical aspect of them is relatively short-lived.

Unfortunately, Chloe has pulled the "so much pain, wanna die" thing so often that it's all just white noise now, even when she's genuinely suffering. Her options really are to either suck it up or go to hospital.
 
Yeah Chloe isn't in pain, or if she is it's the existential pain that living a life devoid of accomplishments and worth brings. While she was charity scamming, and even briefly after it, she claimed she was so debilitated by car poisoning / heart attacks she was confined to a wheel chair and in chronic pain. The wheel chair magically vanished though, and since she was a backyard wrestler under the name "The Brockler" her fibro / whatever wasn't effecting her then either.

When Rani held the purse strings and her internet activity was severely limited, there weren't these temper tantrums of completely random untreatable pain that only appears whenever she doesn't get her way.

I'm quite sure there were plenty of temper tantrums directed at those around her in real life - that her behaviour has driven away any offline support she once had is obvious. Those tantrums just weren't visible to strangers because her online activity was limited.

Unfortunately, it seems like her enablers didn't involve APS when they were around and now that they've walked away there's nobody in Chloe's life who gives enough of a shit to do the needful and start the process of her being forced into care.

One thing I found interesting was that during the whole "terminal illness" scam someone who had known Chloe before the trans shit posted saying that the pre-troon Chloe was a kind person who would never have treated people badly. It's hard to know whether Chloe just reached the age where a lot of mental health disorders manifest and was cheered on by a community always looking to increase their numbers, but it does seem like Chloe wasn't always the batshit trainwreck we know today.

I wonder if she had some sort of traumatic event that triggered a psychotic break. Untreated, those can totally rewrite your personality. Maybe the car wreck story has a grain of truth in it, and John lost someone close to him and he couldn't cope with the grief, and Chloe was the result.

I've seen her make references to childhood abuse. Even absent anything like schizophrenia or bipolar disorder, cluster B people often have a background of abuse/neglect which they kind of cope with until some kind of defining event brings it all crashing down. Is Chloe a dissociation from John? It seems at least possible. He clearly wasn't always this batshit and something caused the transition from functional to extreme helplessness and childlike thinking.

I wish we knew more about his time in the military.

Ehh, I think by pathologizing this you're playing into her hand. It's a really common theme in this thread, and I'm not sure how much water it holds. There's a love on KF of trying to diagnose every cow with some sort of mental illness, when the only thing the majority of them suffer from is terrible judgement and a lack of self-respect. It's worth remembering that being a shitty human being isn't actually a psychological disorder.
Chloe shows some signs of drug abuse, but as far as anything else, we need to remember that she wants to be viewed as mentally ill and helpless, because that makes her a sympathetic character. Much of what she exhibits can be attributed to this, and the inconsistency in the narrative speaks to its lack of credibility.
It's open to debate, I suppose, but for my money? There is nothing seriously wrong with her mental health. Chloe acts like a spoiled, hysterical cunt because that's exactly what she is. She doesn't have a job because she's lazy. She doesn't have any friends because she's a terrible person. She whines for asspats all the time because she's an attention whore. No big secret, no dissociation issues, no rare syndrome that explains it all, she's just a entitled bitch who's been indulged too many times to improve.
Not everyone who's sick is deserving of pity, and not everyone who's broken is sick. Chloe exists this way because she wants to be like this.

  • Chloe admits that she's faked suicide so many times no one, not even her court appointed doctors, believe her
  • Just like hack writers who claim unpublished reviewers don't understand them, Chloe thinks only those who fake suicide too can understand her
  • "rudimentary breathing techniques" are incredibly helpful. Chloe just wants magic pills that she'll never take as prescribed
  • To reiterate: Chloe's faked suicide so many times she has a court appointed doctor who calls her fake sexual assault "drama"
  • She stands by her story that the doctors kept her locked in a room and unfed, her autistic screams going unnoticed
    • This happens 1 out of ever 2 hospital stays apparently
  • Chloe faked suicide again when Rani said she was too autistic to be around
    • Rani also thought Chloe was a violent psychopath because she woke everyone in the house up JUST ONE TIME in a manic frenzy over a single good idea that has never come to fruition
  • Chloe was held again because instead of going into the hospital like a responsible person she jumped out of the car and ran away from her friends (who were trying to help her) and climbed up a crane outside the hospital and threatened to jump :story:
  • She regularly gets pushed to a "state of non-control", which is everyones problem but her own
  • "Learning how to breathe isn't going to pay rent, get me into school or anything in this society" lol k
  • Chloe doesn't have a prescription for her life saving medicine, so either she's a pill head or she's buying shady hormones off the internet like every other transtrender out there

John's "life-saving medicine" is pot. When he cries about dropping it on the floor and being unable to retrieve it, it's more than likely because he spilled shake all over the floor acting like a fucking spastic again.
