I was informed of this news just today by my mom; as such, the information presented here was gathered on the whim. If I missed anything here, please let me know so I can add it to the OP
On 11 September 2025, a famous Chinese actor, Yu Menglong / 于朦胧, died falling from the window. His death gained widespread attention on Chinese social media due to the mysterious circumstances surrounding it

The news was first broken on the Chinese social media platform, Weibo, when a paparazzi made the following post, which has now been deleted

"Yu Menglong, who acted in Eternal Love (2017) and Go Princess Go (2015), died in Beijing today after falling from height. Insiders revealed he had a gathering at a friend's home with about five or six others on Sept 10 and went into a room to sleep at 2am and locked the door."

"When his friends were leaving the flat this morning at 6am, they couldn't find him and only discovered his body on the ground floor. A resident who was walking their dog contacted the police, who have ruled out any criminality and investigations are ongoing."
He then made another post after the first one blew up

"I visited the estate where the incident occurred and saw that the window mesh of a flat on the fifth floor was torn. Thereafter, I interviewed a staff member of the estate who confirmed the deceased is actor Yu Menglong and the incident happened at around 5am on Sept 11. Menglong fell from the fifth floor, hit the cement ground and died instantly"
The public started asking Menglong's management if the claims were true, and they confirmed that yes, it was indeed true

Menglong's management team has confirmed his death in a Weibo statement this evening.

The statement reads: "With unbearable sorrow, we announce that our beloved Menglong fell to his death on Sept 11. Police have ruled out any criminality. We hope he rests in peace and his loved ones remain strong."

>Police have ruled out any criminality
What was the official reason, you may ask? "Accidental fall" involving alcohol. The autopsy was completed within one day, ruling out a criminal case, but the results were not made public. The "accidental fall" claim was especially doubtful because Yu had previously mentioned that he did not drink and was scheduled to attend a major CCTV (China Central Television) event the following day

This obviously didn't sit right with people, so alternative theories began circulating, to which the Chaoyang Public Security Branch of Beijing responded by saying that the doubts behind the death were all rumors, but that didn't stop people from digging

The Evidence

The most suspicious point is that the official statement claimed Yu Menglong jumped voluntarily, yet there were unnatural scratches on the window below.

Next was this leaked photo of a Rolex watch found in Yu Menglong's pocket at the time of his death. Later, some people discovered that this Rolex had previously appeared on the social media account under the alias 极光光.

A video allegedly showed Yu Menglong crying and shouting that he had been threatened since the age of 25. Later, some people claimed the video was actually of another deliveryman caught stealing a motorcycle, not Yu Menglong. However, a person recently conducted an audio analysis and confirmed that it was indeed Yu Menglong's voice in the video

More videos were subsequently released, including one in which Menglong cried and said he was about to fall, adding that he hoped his friend 范世錡 could save him

Following the news, photos, and videos related to Yu Menglong's death circulated online. Some posts alleged the involvement of multiple people

Another video appeared to show people shouting to cut open his stomach

Another video shows Menglong crying after his dog was killed

田海蓉 (Hairong Tian), suspected by some people of being involved in Yu Menglong's death, posted a supposed "official" notice by the Chinese government, which claimed the arrest of three suspects accused of fabricating rumors. This notice was later proven to be fake and was seen merely as an attempt to suppress people from posting the video in question

According to all the evidence gathered by the public, there are currently 18 people involved in the plot to kill Yu Menglong (most of them are associated with the Chinese Communist Party)

1.辛奇 2.方励 3.极光光 4. 程青松(cheng qing song) 5.宋伊人(S.Ireine) 6.

Yu Menglong's mother has reportedly gone missing in Beijing in late September; she has yet to be found

Quite possibly the worst response one could ever have to online speculation they were involved in someone's murder, lmfao

Also shouts out to your mom for finding content for the forum :sighduck:

World war III being started because chinkniggers try to nuke the kiwifarms datacenter for having uncensored information about some chinky defenestration was not on MY bingo card, but my body is ready.

I'm going to guess triad activity with government connections. The Communist Party don't usually disappear or murder people with high visibility (any more) because they invite exactly this level of scrutiny (see Fan Bing Bing) but criminal organizations which still hold a great deal of power in China don't operate with the same restraint. Purely speculatively, I'm guessing he ran afoul of a gang and the local government is choosing to look the other way.

So either he attended some event where he saw something he shouldn't have seen in a social gathering, or he wanted to switch agencies and the original one is tied to the CCP and killed him beforehand.

Can't really think of any other reasons that are likely.

I wouldn't be surprised if there was something fucky with it tbh. Especially since his mom is unaccounted for?!

And from what I understand, celebrities and rich people can't be rich in the American way over there, they have to pledge it back to the CCP.

he attended some event where he saw something he shouldn't have seen in a social gathering
This could be possible.

I know we're talking about China but I think this could be relevant in an indirect way:
(note: spoiler info because you can read the rest of the post if you don't wanna read it)

during the Burning Sun scandal in South Korea (basically it was high profile celebrities and idols drugging and raping women in a club called Burning Sun, they recorded the attacks and shared them with each other), one of the first people that lead to the scandal being uncovered was a man who witnessed men assaulting/harassing a woman in the club. And the witness ended up getting charged with assault, defamation, battery and "obstructing police force."

Basically it seemed like the police latched into a random person as a bad guy to try to spare more respected people. Then it all got revealed and there was a shitton of police coverup and a lot of reports of fuckery before that.

Another Chinese-specific case was the case of ex-idol Kris Wu. At the time of his crimes, he was super popular with a bunch of brand deals and tv show appearances; he used to be with the group EXO (one of the most successful kpop groups, even today). Some of the victims were underage, like 14-17 when he would've been late 20s at the time. The parties where he'd drug his victims were framed as meet and greets or work shops.

His mom tried to push off hush money to the victims, and his assistants were said to "scout" girls and help them receive abortions and STI-care.

Overall…I bring this all up because there's a shitton of coverup with a lot of high profile Chinese, Korean, Japanese, etc cases. (I know that they are all different countries/cultures but fucked up police corrupt seems to be a common aspect.)

With the Burning Sun scandal, it's thought that there's some Triad associations with it too… so I guess anything could really be possible, especially since Triad association is a theory right now and he's apparently tried to contact people about being threatened…

The audio is frankly one of the most disturbing things I’ve heard in recent memory. Listening to a guy get tortured is not fun. This whole thing has been blowing up in China because the guy in question was a nice guy who worked hard to get into a respectable position, I heard some theories about the guy swallowing a USB or something, why otherwise would they cut his stomach open instead of just throwing him off?

No one recording helped him. No official or policeman who got a report did anything either. It’s China, You’re a slave there essentially. The local government/mafia is covering everything up because it looks bad for tourism, which is retarded but the CCP runs on ruthlessness not smarts.

Unfortunately, China constantly pits people against each other as an attempt by the government to constantly distract them from realizing how shit their rulers are. People’s brains are changing, parts of their brain meant for empathy deteriorate simce they’re discouraged from being used, note that people leave children and elderly to get run over because otherwise you’ll get fucked over by the legal system. “Hurt” people can lie and you have to pay a lifetime’s worth of cash to a person who you thought needed help. None of the police or local government give a shit because everything runs on bribery. Sociopaths outbreed everyone else because the systems in place are so utterly self-serving.

The dog killing is really fucking sad but not unexpected. China has no laws against animal abuse. You can look online and see how the government straight went and up killed pets of people who were quarantined to other locations. China really is just monkeyfucker heaven,

Basically it seemed like the police latched into a random person as a bad guy to try to spare more respected people. Then it all got revealed and there was a shitton of police coverup and a lot of reports of fuckery before that.
It’s a common consensus that the guy probably did do something bad, but not as fucked up as what the other KPopfuckers did. Then again the a senior Police officer was part of the club. It’s a case of crab bucket mentality where the ship is going down and people want to bring everyone with them,

huh, this reminds me of the russian ballet dancer (noted critic of Putin or something) that died last year due to falling from the top of a building, people were calling that a hit job too. (Link/A)
Acclaimed Russian ballet dancer Vladimir Shklyarov has died after falling from the fifth story of a building. He was 39.

Shklyarov’s tragic death was announced by his dance company, Mariinsky Theater, on Saturday (November 16). “This is a huge loss not only for the theater’s staff, but for all of today’s ballet art,” the theater company said in a statement. “Our condolences to the artist’s family, loved ones, friends and all the numerous admirers of his work and talent.

“His boundless creative abilities were recognized with numerous awards,” it continued. “He forever inscribed his name in the history of world ballet art.”

While no cause of death was given in the original statement, Anna Kasatkina, a representative for the dance company, later told local news outlet Fontanka that Shklyarov had fallen from the fifth floor of a building while on painkillers in preparation for a complex spinal surgery scheduled for Monday (November 18).
