This got quietly released a few weeks ago. A 40 minute long finale to that most ancient of YouTube memes, Charlie the Unicorn. Guess the algorithm remembered I watched it all those years ago and popped it into my feed. Was a satisfying dose of nostalgia. All is revealed, including why the other two unicorns are so fucked up.

 
Something that was a part of my autistic childhood is now over, I don't know if I should feel glad or sad.
I remember the memetic humor, catchy songs, funny voices, and quotable lines like if it was yesterday.
Charlie the Unicorn was such of a staple of classic Youtube that it might as well be over due to what the site has become.
 
The only people I knew IRL who quoted this show and said it was any good went on to become bronies.
 
Actually had this shirt back in high school. Good times.

Never watched past the third one, though. I dunno, something about the newer Charlie the Unicorn videos didn't feel right to me just by looking at the thumbnails. If it was still consistent the entire way through to this finale, I'll consider marathoning it with a banana in my ear.
 
You know, I actually think Filmcow is one of the few animators to definitely end his series'. I've yet to watch this, but I can at least appreciate the willingness to end his projects definitively.

I remember when people kept requesting more Llamas With Hats, and he ended up continuing it and leading to its natural conclusion for a show like that.

Legitimately sad.

Oh, it’s a good story overall and the ending hits hard for sure, I just like the idea of people badgering him for more episodes, and he just went “okay, I’ll show you what would happen if this story keep going…”
