I'm guessing the reason they're using "indefinite suspension" is that they'll have to keep paying him whatever salary he was receiving for hosting the show, it just means they save on having to air the show (Crew costs, the band, anything they have to pay guests, etc) which probably amount to more than Kimmel was being paid for every episode (101k or something, can't find an exact figure).that's great, are they willing to pay Kimmel's salary and foot the show's expenses? because they're hemhorraging money
I'm half-expecting a Morbius situation to occur where they'll take this surge of support to translate into popularity, so they lift the suspension to air a big victory lap episode or something only for it to similarly bomb and then they quietly resume the suspension but feel like they "won" something for doing so.
