This is true. While I opposed Luigi Mangione, I can at least understand why people hated UnitedHealthcare and its CEO, Brian Thompson, but Charlie Kirk's only crime was having "wrong" opinions that pissed off Democrats. Neither deserved to die, but Charlie Kirk had no reason to be murdered, while Brian Thompson at least made sense.

I will admit that I didn't take Kirk very seriously and thought he was just another talking head, but I had no idea how decent of a guy he really seemed to be. He seems like a totally innocent, peaceful, genuine and very hard working guy who loved his family. He's basically an aspirational model for any normal person. The kind of guy you can look at and really admire and respect what he did with his life even if you don't agree with all of his positions.

You really summarized my thoughts on Charlie Kirk. I knew he was the based TikTok debate guy, but I thought he was just another talking head. Learning more about him since he died, I was wrong; he was a great guy, and I underestimated the impact he had on the election and politics as a whole.

No, I do think Musk was mad at Trump on policy grounds. Then came back because the Left are an existential threat to everyone else. When I say mad, I mean the kind of mad friends or brothers have for each other where it's a temporary thing and be forgiven. Especially when the opposition is so demonic.

This is the same phase I went through lol. I hated the big beautiful bill and the Iran strikes, but my disagreements with the left far outweigh my disagreements with the right. Unlike the left, as Republicans, we can agree to disagree and put our differences aside to help the nation.
