Here's an exciting concept for you: not everything and everyone has belief systems or actions that fit into the clearly delineated boxes of right or left.

I don't know how people haven't started to catch onto the fact that almost all young recent shooters have had indecipherable political beliefs. That is to say the targets and motivations of their actions may transient partisan politics (ergo they maybe thought Kirk was just a bad person overall for whatever reason)

i agree, but i actually think based on what we heard at the press conference, the situation is a bit simpler. you can decipher a lot from the bullet engravings, generic online memes indicate he's very familiar with internet culture. the helldivers meme means he plays vidya. and the two references to anti-fascist messaging ("hey fascist, catch" and "bella ciao..."), directed at charlie kirk, is pretty clearly left-wing--classic terminally online "call everyone to the right of che guevara a fascist" sort of thinking. then add in the testimony from the family friend about his recent political statements, and, well, the story seems pretty fuckin uncomplicated.
