I know it's a Spoony W but I'm also just thinking about how much change the channel was a blessing in disguise for Doug. All these people willingly disassociated from him so he hasn't had to deal with any of their bullshit since. Imagine the head ache of having all your associates troon out on you.

Clearly Michaud and the Walkers won out in the end hardcore. The whole thing was going to implode either way and cutting off the cord like that is what saved them. Trying to be a hub of a bunch of angry-outrage style fad critics who couldn't change or adapt in genre or style in any way was doomed no matter what. Just that alone, much less a bunch of troon loving SJWs.

ETA and Walkers and Michaud are a case lesson in how to deal with an online cancel culture smear campaign. Just disband and ignore it. If he had tried to fight it, apologize and all that, phew. Not that many were able to keep a stiff upper lip during the height of #metoo.

There is probably some corporate PowerPoint with CTC as an example of how to not make a smear campaign. Having the harshest complaint be about a dead guy, and the actual complaints be petty office politics and small inconveniences (which were mostly exaggerated/debunked) killed any momentum it had.

Wrong, plenty of people were looking forward to it, but alas they were all drowned out by a certain retard screaming "BETRAYAAAL" at the top of his lungs.
I still stand by what I said, it would have been a much better game than any XCOM release since. Every XCOM reboot has been a cookie cutter "tactical" strategy game with extremely generic setting, if nothing else the invaded 60s era setting played straight would have been a kino setting, even if the game was a boiler plate standard gen 7th affair(which I doubt since the previews were looking pretty cool, almost sounded like a prototype for the 2017 Prey we got years later with extra tactical elements added to it)

I think Doug hates the perpetual Nostalgia Critic hell he's been stuck with, as he tried to quit the persona several times. I guess you're right in that he dodged a bullet when the retards he associated himself with cut themselves off willingly from him, but at the same time now he doesn't have them to depend on creating more content for his platform, I think it's all just him now, right?
Definitely a better alternative, to just wash his hands of them, but one has to wonder if Channel Awesome would have worked if Doug was better at picking who he let in at the time.

I remember seeing some video years ago where he was in his garage and it looked pretty legit. I don't know much of the Lordkat lore but I'm genuinely surprised by this one.
 
On one hand the dude looks thinner than I remember from his videos. On the other hand, he's turning into a proper freakazoid with the estrogen pills.

Also does this now mean we get to retcon the stories of him feeling up some woman that caused the rift between him and the other Channel Awesome guys into "another tranny who is a sex pest"?

:cryblood: I used to watch this man stream games when I was a kid, on that proto-Twitch website. Then years later I saw him on the farms, he was kind of annoying because he had a habit of troll shielding the fat gorls like ALR. IIRC he yeeted his KF account after the 2019 breach and I forgot he existed, until now. lol FAT, TTD, etc. :heart-empty:
