For the record, I neither want nor expect Makima to come back, but if she does, now's the time.

Scratch that, I kinda want her to come back so Yoru can make fun of her.

Assuming her existence is still ongoing. She was in a nasty spot last we saw her. Not to mention the whole surrogate family thing she did with Denji was a long con so she could take everything away from Denji again and leave him with nothing except Chainsaw Man.
Glasgow smile man may have been severely wrong about her.
Not that Makima would return. We'd just get a new Control Devil in a different body again.

Yeah like if something bad happens to Nayuta, it would just be a new control devil.

Though as for what happens to her, I personally doubt she’s dead given Asa/Yoru would remember her given how Nayuta used her powers on them to forget her. I also feel like she’ll be the one to dox Yoru to Denji who is still unaware of the War Devil.

I choose to believe it started out as a con, then she actually started to like him, because it'd be even sadder otherwise.
 
Those "X must still be alive" are some of the worst death flags imaginable. Makes me think that Denji won't be receiving head but get an actual disembodied head.
