I reckon this thread is for cat-themed music, but music for cats is interesting.
There's decent evidence animals do recognize and listen to music. In my own experience it seems my cat specifically seeks out my violin. I've read that they like high-pitched and squally music much more than they do low instruments, like my saxophone.
This dude attempts to make music for cats based on what we know of cat hearing (versus human hearing), and my cat does seem to pay attention to it. (He DOES NOT pay attention to TV or other background human noise, as a rule.)
