You need to fucking chiiillll. It seems like so many people are getting into grooming scandals, can't we just agree that this whole thing is stupid? Carson had a girlfriend two years younger than him, and she willingly sent him nudes. That's not weird, or cancel-worthy. Carson shouldn't try to fuck his fans, but this is being blown out of proportion for clout.

Lol no it's not, it's a holdover from pre-feminist times when for example young women were kept in ignorance and never allowed to even be alone with a man. There are branches of modern feminism that have amplified this thinking in an effort to make all men the enemy, ironically holding us back further. But this thought process has been around far longer than feminism.

Funny how you are calling me out for moralfagging, and you're acting like my perspective would change anything, but what Carson simply had to do was not solicit nudes from someone he knew that he was 17, and he would not get this type of backlash and the consequences thereof. Unfortunately he did not listen and he paid the price for it. I agree most of the backlash is stupid as well, but this situation is so fucking easily avoidable, and Carson deserves it for being stupid.
 
I know liked tweets ≠ endorsements, but Schlatt (former lunch club, friend of carson) silently liked the trend slimecicle tweet condemning Carson.

Predicting that Schlatt will say nothing and this is probably all he will do publicly about the allegations.

Its a little creepy when the older party is in college and there is no preexisting relationship. Carson didn't seem to be in college at the time. I'm not sure how Romeo & Juliet laws handle sexting.

19 could be college freshmen, 17 could be a Highschool senior. Hell, 19 could be a highschool senior who's really dumb or got red-shirted by their parents for sports. But unless they were in the same social circles when both were in highschool, its a bit creepy to be going after highschool girls when you aren't in Highschool. But nothing to get worked up about.

That said, everything OTHER than him being 19 gives serious creepster vibes. Girl liked having a older & "popular" guy into her until she didn't, and decided to cancel him when she got mad at him.

Women were never "kept in ignorance". Women have always had an active part in society and had to pull their weight as much as men did. The feminist history where women were kept in little cages and only let out to get pregnant is bullshit. Even if you want to propose it is true you have to limit that to only the elites, the average working family of any era would have women and men living very similar lives and very similar levels of ignorance. The men would do the heavy lifting but the women had their own chores keeping them busy

Young women shouldn't be allowed to be alone with a man. In the past pregnancy was much more dangerous and risked killing her or leaving the family with an increased burden and no one to take responsibility. This thread alone proves why it's a bad idea to trust young women around men. They're going to get handsy one way or another and then it's too late her tits are on the internet.
