This is the one thing that I'll defend Ralph on. I think he did try to see her in the hospital and got fucked over by Covid bullshit. His story has never changed and we all remember the tyranny of the pandemic police. I have no doubt in my mind that some scumfuck nurse laid out bullshit 10 day rules to Ralph about how he couldn't go see his mom because she might catch Covid19 before she died. In this case and this case alone Ralph wasn't as fault and was instead a victim of one of the cruelest chapters of recent history.
No amnesty for covid police, they should be dragged through the street.
In this specific circumstance, where your dying mom is effectively on her deathbed at this hospital without any other family, I ask this. Would you you have gotten the coof vax? (Let's ignore the whole waiting period in between shots and all that since it's not like Sandra dying or her hospital visits were a surprise out of nowhere.)

Now while I can sympathize with those circumstances
to an extent, I just can't completely absolve Ralph on this one. Other people? Maybe, but not him for the utter display of how he treated Sandra beforehand and how he doesn't just man up and own the decision (or lack thereof) he made. For me, I think a lot of it has to do with Ralph's decision to 'Move out of his wing of da 1,000 sq. ft. house at the ripe old age of 34 during Sandra's dying years, only to let her die alone in the hospital' being virtually indistinct from every single other decision has ever made.
Similar to how Ralph constantly crying to women, or trying to host a pity party, over dead Sandra stirs nothing but contempt. You can't pretend to care about your mother after the fact when there's audio ebidence of him sluringly hollerin' at her that "it's nawt even hawt outside", and that she should walk to dialysis because you got fucked up the night prior.
