If he's actually sober (I believe him when he says he's currently alcohol free, at least), he may start ballooning again due to the sugar and carb cravings. Freshly sober people tend to eat a lot of ice cream and junk food in the months immediately following detox, and I can't imagine Ralph is any different. But who knows what other kind of drugs he's using that could mitigate that. Past history suggests that his sobriety will last anywhere from three to six months, perhaps a bit longer, but there's a 100% chance he will publicly and spectacularly relapse at some point.
