Conformity is the name of the game in every internet community today. 20 years ago you could show up to a community, not know/care for its rules, political/social leanings, not know what the user sentiment was, and just be your own character. As long as you were funny/interesting, it was engaged with. Even if your character was "guy who vents frustrations into the void and just wants advice", if there were enough sincere people in a community, they might take you seriously.

- Is he being sincere? Is this a troll?
- Is this guy being a cuck? Is he a hedonist? Is he Christian? Has he read the stoics?
- Is he fat? Is he gay? Is he an addict? Is he Indian? Does he commit wrongthink?
- Is this guy a fan of [internet personality]?
- Is this guy aware that this topic has been covered in [link]?
- Has this guy just Googled, asked AI, or seen the video that covers this topic?
