In addition to being a really great movie, Ravenous also has one of my favorite soundtracks ever..


We have never and will never get the equivalent of Deliverance/Texas Chainsaw Massacre/Cannibal Holocaust with African Americans as the antagonists, despite the wealth of inspiration to draw from (has there even been a cannibal film set in Africa?). Slashers used to kill sluts and assholes... are there any newer movies where masked killers slay incels and TERFs? Oil waiting to be struck, if not. There is a long tradition of killer troons in horror film. Perhaps the time has come to give this archetype a more sympathetic portrayal.

Hell, I would love to see a Deliverance or TCM-style movie with Black antagonists. Make it like the total antithesis of a Jordan Peele horror flick, and that would get people talking, Same goes for the slasher killing TERF's, incels, and SJW's. If you aim for a low-budget production and use it wisely, you could easily produce it independently and self-publish it at first.

The trick is not letting the trailers and promos give it all away. Build it up as a mystery and try to keep the killers out of sight as much as possible in the trailers and teasers.

There's probably a few of the low-end studios like Full Moon, Troma, or maybe even The Asylum who could help distribute it for you if you can sell it well.

If you start with self-publishing alone, then to aim for a Direct-to-DVD and Blu-Ray format and if you can get it onto Amazon's video platform via Shudder or cheap Video on Demand, do that as well. If it can sell well, use that to get your B-Movie and Z-Movie studios to help distribute it further and get it on the more mainstream streaming services.

What would really be spicy is if the killer was trooned against his will by parents/counsellors/etc. because he didn't like stereotypical boy things and mommy wanted asspats for her stunning and brave elementary school eunuch. We desperately need a horror movie that's provocative beyond the blood and guts levels.

Edit: Tell woketards the backstory of the killer from Sleepaway Camp. Leave out any hint of it being from a horror movie or that it fucked them up. Guarantee they'll all go "Fuck yeah trans rights! where can I watch this?"

Someone needs to try and raise the money for this kind of movie. The good thing about most of the old-school slasher movies is that most of them were fairly low-budget, which was why there was a glut of them in the 80's, both theatrically and direct-to-video. The only ones that were big budget or mid-budget were Nightmare on Elm Street and some of the later Friday the 13th and Halloween installments.

If you wrote the script and ran the numbers for a reasonable low budget, I'm sure you could get a crowdfunding thing from horror fans. You might have to hide the twist in the promotional material to avoid the cancel mobs, but I think it could still work.
