Idk wtf is going on at your sb's but mine has blonde southern belle types usually but still the odd Tumblr walrus. Difference is I can see directly into the worker area make sure they're washing their hands and there's not someone ordering a fucking pizza in front of me so I can be in and out pretty quickly. Tim's should have just had a fast food spinoff where it's focused on fast food and kept tim's about drinks, you go to other countries it ain't like that it's focused on the drinks (which have a higher profit margin than food and keep shit moving along)
Here is the menu of Tim's in a country where cafe culture is big and competition fierce. I'm convinced that their global expansion is mostly for Canadians going to other countries.
My point was about hiring young Canadians and that's the important part, but I still recommend to order a coffee from a local cafe instead.

Honestly, I can tolerate a place that's at the very least genuinely diverse (i.e not exclusively jeets or muslims)
This is an interesting paradox, a country that bends over for another claiming while simultaneously claiming to stand up towards them, and this is happening elsewhere in the world too. Leaders in Russia aligned countries like Belarus or Kazakhstan actually do criticize Putin and his actions quite a lot...but when push comes to shove they'll submit to their daddy.
They definitely do, I've said this many times now, but these types of people think purely emotionally, never with reason.
Even if they don't formally join the "anti amerikkkan axis" Canada probably would and honestly should be viewed as a china=friendly nation. After WW2 Spain got ostracized by the international community for a long time due to it's axis friendly government, despite they never formally joined the war. (Even though historical comparisons shouldn't be taken as 1:1 fact, it's crazy how consistently Canada is comparable to authoritarian countries)
A lot of the Canadians hired will definitely just be south asians with Canadian citizenship. I mean if you needed a job you'd have a slightly better chance now even if it's singh hortons.
Also what is Singh Hortons like outside Canada for those who've tried it? (my condolences ahead of time)

It is a Brazilian-owned, greedy asshole-franchised outlet for shitty coffee and dangerous “food” that exploits visa workers because the franchisees are too cheap to pay Canadians, and their shit isn’t any cheaper than quality cafès.
A fact a lot of people don’t realize is that straight brewed coffee is actually cheaper at Starbucks than Horton’s, and they sell more than two kinds, so there’s something any coffee drinker would like. Remember the ad campaign Horton’s did when they rejiggered their dark roast? “Please try our dark roast now, we promise it’s less horrible than it used to be!”
And if anyone still thinks the coffee at Horton’s is safe, while doing a POS system upgrade at the location in The Bow in Calgary, a building which was only two years old at the time, I found a dead mouse under their coffee makers, in what was the flagship location in the city at that time.

The World Cup and the Olympics are a real gamble because the chosen places for the games are usually chosen with at least a decade of head start so there is time to prepare and get ready. Except a decade is a long enough time to absolutely fuck up any and all political and economic landscapes.
When the choice was made in 2018 Canada had only had to endure about 3 years of Trudeau, and things were nowhere near as bad as they are now. It was the middle of the 1st Trump term which looked like it would amount to nothing and the elites were succefully tard wrangling orange man into not being able to do what he or his base wanted and of course the international situation was much better with Russia being still a acceptable member of the international community (they even hosted the World Cup that year). Had things been at that point the World Cup would be a perfectly acceptable thing to have in Canada, USA and Mexico.
But that was 8 years ago. A lot has changed, very fast. Covid and the chaotic attempt at pretending Trump and Brexit never happened by the Powers that Be from 2021 to 2024 not only failed to turn back the clock to their 2030 plans it resulted in the Ukraine war and the shitshow in Israel, while the economy utterly failed to move because no matter how much you write lofty bills and give speeches on how we are all a multiracial multicultural society that shit doesn't generate wealth.

Yeah unlike many other countries where the Redditors are only a very vocal minority. Reddit is honestly a pretty good representation of Canada and how the average Canadian thinks. Which is why Canadian Reddit in particular is so insufferable. Maybe Canadians will become the Chinese tourists of the west if they keep on spread the propaganda beyond our b*rders (censoring this because having b*rders is offensive and racist).
I genuinely think that many Canadians really are so far left that Bernie and AOC are "far right by their standards". Say what you want about the dems, but at least they're (rightfully) sus of Canada and it's dealings with China (Canada was pro china LONG before Trump's spergouts in 2025).
I also think leaf spergouts are worse than even those of second and maybe even third worlders atp. The reason I think this is that Canadians are REGRESSING to this state and don't have the excuse of being a super rural or poor society until a few years ago (not a great defense either way but we ain't even got that defense).

The more that I travel, the more I suspect that this place isn't real. It seems to only exists in the imagination of certain ideologues. Ethnic ghettos exist in every city that labels itself as cosmopolitan. Even cities that really promote ethnic diversity, like Singapore or NYC, suffer from ethnic nepotism and sociological problems.
The problem is these people that champion ethnic diversity try to apply cultural relativity to the real world, instead of confining it to the pages of sociological journals as it was intended to be. They think that there is only an illusion of separation that us plebeians need to learn to ignore. When they do concede that there are differences, they only use the most mundane or benevolent examples like differences in cuisine. Their idea of multiculturalism isn't multiculturalism, it's a cheap facsimile. They degrade all cultures, some more than others, in their endless pursuit of profit, and then expect us to ignore the problems that multicultural societies face.
It's always been this way, maybe it wasn't as noticeable before for whatever reason. The majority of Canadians have always whiny, close-minded, lazy, dismissive, prone to delusional thinking and worshiping of authority.

It takes a certain type of person to move abroad, and a different type to permanently emigrate. Most expatriates that I meet tend to be content, open-minded, active, accepting, prone to realism and suspicion of authority.
Obviously, wanting to leave is different from actually leaving. I think endlessly talking about wanting to leave but never making meaningful steps to do so is a typical Canadian behavior.
