I honestly don't think anything about the actual restaurant matters tbh. It's "the canadian chain" and the place they went for coffee. So they show up, buy their coffee, and then sit there bitching about trump for four hours. Anything beyond that (like the actual quality/not having junkies shooting up in the booth next to you) is ultimately irrelevant. I also think it's a reaction to amerikkka slowing down immigration (even though the US is still pretty fine with legal immigrants) so we must do the opposite of what the Yanks are doing. Best way I can describe those types of people is "woke reactionaries". Given that left wing liberalism is the standard here, and they oppose anything that deviates from this even a bit, sometimes even against other left wing beliefs. I bet many Canadians bet the entire future on this sort of "woke" culture staying dominate. Because of this, they have no choice but to double down on "wokeness" given how much they've invested into this "new world order". (Similar to how some Japanese soldiers continued fighting long after ww2, even if circumstances are different).

There's many ways to view the war in Ukraine, and several have perfectly believable evidence to back them up. If you go to the Russian war thread you would see a LOT of recipts that indicate that not only does Ukraine not have a chance of winning the war, it's actually deliberately killing it's own troops by allowing cauldrons to form around them and sending them on suicide missions where the only reward is literally reddit updoots. If you believe in that version it get's plausible that you wouldn't want to go back.

According to someone I know form the CAF, apparently some officers want to recruit Ukrainian veterans after the war is over in Ukraine. The funny thing is that most Ukrainians values culture and ethnicity, so the majority of them would be flat out blacklisted from ever joining the CAF for hate speech. I do not support Russia for the record, but it's funny seeing liberals having Ukrainian flags on their Twitter bios, when Ukraine is simply not a progressive country in the slightest.

The real reason they switched from baking in-store to par-cooked product wasn't about standards or product quality, it was because that change makes them exempt from regular health inspections in most places. Freshii is another one nobody should buy food from. Any franchise operation that is jeet-owned or majority jeet-staffed is unsafe.

I know a couple kids that worked there fairly recently and everyone who works there are local American kids (almost all white) and they were constantly cleaning if they weren’t helping customers. I still don’t like the food but I did actually like the coffee. That tells you how much the Canadian government incentivizes hiring foreigners.

In my area it’s almost exclusively McDonald’s that employs people that don’t speak English and have questionable status. No other fast food chain or restaurant seems to be doing this.

Out here, every Tim Hortons is either owned by jeets and staffed nearly exclusively with jeets, or owned by whites and staffed with Filipinas. It is insanely rare in Canadian cities to find any whites working in service jobs anymore, and no white kids can get what used to be the usual starter jobs.
