Our Senate was appointed by the state legislatures prior to the 17th Amendment. It was meant for the state governments to have representation in Congress. So if you want better Senate representation, make it be the representation of the provincial governments. (Edit: wording)

The way I've always been taught is that the United States is a derivative of the British system. English common law, the Magna Carta, and the Englightenment were huge influences on how we structured our government.

Monarchs functions somewhat okay if their interest is tied to the land they reside.

Current monarchs like king Charles has zero ties or interest to further the land they possess. They are wholly owned by globehomos.

Alberta has held elections for vacant senate seats going back more than 20 years, but a Liberal PM will just appoint his loyal cronies instead of honoring the elections.

The Senate is filled with Liberal-appointed in-group preference faggots pushing for shit like lowering the voting age. The distribution of its membership also bears no reflection of our population. How are you going to get 'sober second thought' on things like energy infrastructure when the number of senators from the Maritimes completely eclipse those from Alberta? And even the ones from Alberta are Justin Trudeau's best friends.

Our garbage dump country already suffers from enough lack of accountability without an entire half of our legislature being entirely composed of do-nothing Liberal plants. I'd rather have political deadlock than a failing-upward executive from an LGBTQIAP+ NGO rubber stamping every bad globohomo decision that comes across his desk. I'll remind you that political deadlock is the only reason we don't already have an Online Harms Bill putting you in jail for retroactively liking an incorrect tweet.

This is addressed in my proposal, by replacing the king (who is supposed to appoint, but in practice only rubber stamps PM suggestions).

Here's another suggestion that also wouldn't devolve into the same USA system that gave you LGBT but every four years pumps the breaks so you don't neck yourself. You might like it better than the first. Have the lieutenant governors appoint their respective senators instead of the governor general. Then you can have your Danielle Smith suggested senator instead of your Justin Trudeau suggested one.

But I suspect that wouldn't be good enough for the MoAr DeMoCrAcY idiots who can't recognise that every degenerate part of Globohomo is powered by democracy. And they'll want to vote for senators anyways, because for them History began the day that the Jews moved their centre of power from London to New York.

As for the number of Senators, that's a fair point, it's beside the point of elected or appointed senators, so it can be done in either case, whether you go with even more democracy like you want or you go with restoring the monarchy like I want.

bleck, name a time in the last 50 years the CBC hasn't been embarrassing? They've been carrying the Liberal's for decades by this point so I expect nothing but abject lies and propaganda from them.

Plus it's not like Canadians have any rights anyway. Any right the Feds can over rule in a second is no right at all. We have some minor privileges they can take away from us at will if we get annoying. Minor ones like freedom of speech, freedom of assembly and freedom to protect oneself.
