You can be a centrist, though the best way is to be off of social media as much as possible with only using it to reconnect and talk with true friends and family. Other than that, just stay off social media and you will be a centrist just fine.

It is clearly possible to be a centrist, because centrists have occupied the political establishment in just about every major power for decades, and for the most part, continue to do so. Political discourse may have grown more polarized lately, but I would argue that this is mainly a feature of the political fringes enjoying more exposure due to a rise in the general public's overall disaffection with politics. I am yet to be convinced that this will lead to any long-term shift in terms of governance.

Among the polity, neoliberalism continues to enjoy global dominance, and I don't see this changing anytime soon.
