Can people be centrist in this day and age?

It is clearly possible to be a centrist, because centrists have occupied the political establishment in just about every major power for decades, and for the most part, continue to do so. Political discourse may have grown more polarized lately, but I would argue that this is mainly a feature of the political fringes enjoying more exposure due to a rise in the general public's overall disaffection with politics. I am yet to be convinced that this will lead to any long-term shift in terms of governance.

Among the polity, neoliberalism continues to enjoy global dominance, and I don't see this changing anytime soon.

Surely.

Extremists of both sides - left (SJWs, idpol, femininists, furries etc.) and right (Alt-Right, neo-nazis, incels, otakus...) - are toxic and problematic as hell, don't you understand, you cultural marxist race traitors?

i would say if you want to stand in between the two places that bullets could come then your in for a rough ride.

but if you know your stuff and can avoid said bullets then you should fine.
