Can I be fired for not using tranny's preferred pronouns at work?

At my job I recently moved to an area that two gender specials work in. Both are clearly women, long hair, feminine presenting, but use "they/them" and "he/him" pronouns as I was told by my manager.

There is absolutely no way I am humiliating myself by calling these stupid bitches "he" or "they."

I honestly don't give a fuck about being fired, I'll just get another job, but how likely is that to happen? Can they legally fire me? Can I claim religious discrimination?

It doesn't matter whether it's legal or not; it matters what your company does. They know you don't have the funds to fight it--who's gonna help, the ACLU? (I hate this timeline)

The bigger the company, the more likely they have a written troon policy and you'll get talked to, PIP'd, and fired if you don't comply.

In a smaller company you might be able to slide, especially if more people are misgendering the pooners than just you, or if the pooners are more annoying to more people than you are, and especially if upper management can't be bothered. If both pooners are complaining about just you, it'd be easier to fire you. If the pooners are complaining about everyone, they're going to make it clear that they're the...
Stating the obvious, but you can avoid pronouns entirely by referring to people by their function (or name) - this is actually pretty common in a lot of languages with grammar that would normally force you to write in an elongated manner when trying to address both female and male readers. "He/They/She" is just "The general manager" or "Sally" and you alternate between the two. Easy way not to have to humor their bullshit AND preserve your job.

That works until the genderspecials or their retarded supporters call you out for avoiding pronouns altogether. I've reached the point where complete avoidance is the best option if at all possible, to me, the they/them/he/it people don't even exist. Doesn't work all the time, but it works well enough most of the time.

Please let this genderspecials bullshit phase end please for the love of all that is holy. 99.5% of society is sick of it.

Depends on how big it is. If it's a small business you can just tell them to GFY and call them what you want. They probably didn't reveal this in the interview and people will be glad if you bully them out of there.

We've got a clown like that as a remote worker and I've never respected his pronouns. He sucks and is likely going to be fired before EOY.

I work for PayPal. I am reminded every year in our diversity and inclusion training that trannies feelings supersede all other concerns. They explicitly state that disagreement to troonism even on religious grounds will not be tolerated.

No surprise considering they pulled out of North Carolina when they passed their bathroom bill. My best advice is to refer to your coworkers by their names or titles or just they/them until you can find a different department or job.

It all depends on your country, and local laws, but generally they probably won't fire you for doing it once. If you are required to work with this person often and you do it consistently, it may be a problem. Any situation where someone ends up saying "I have repeatedly told you to not X, but you continue to do it" no matter how retarded can result in at least a talk with HR.

Depends on your state of employment. Some states it is a covered class, so, yes. In most, no.

In states where it is a covered class, your religious discrimination will never hold water in court.

They can try to call you out on it, but to the best of my knowledge, not using pronouns is perfectly legit as that would be a 1st amendment issue under compelled speech.

A public-facing company is worse luck for you. A company that laypeople wouldn't recognize if they were put on blast on Twitter: better.

If you try the religion defense, you'd better have been visibly religious before, and have your religious leader ready to write a letter and back you up. For better or for worse, companies learned about this one during COVID.

This sucks and I don't envy you at all, I just think a lot of people ITT are overly optimistic. In some companies/fields, this is the "you told one harmless joke about Stalin, now guess what?" era.

Many such cases, they invaded every workspace. If it's not faggs it's pajeets. Or worst of all a faggot pajeet.
I dunno man we don't hire faggots or pajeets where I work. We were gonna hire some gay dude once. I think my boss was planning on trying to preach the gay out of him. He's pretty intensely religious but he ended up just never showing up.

I think "they" is fine. Recognizing that someone with a mental illness needs to be treated slightly differently feels more of a compromise to me than playing fully into the delusion using male pronouns.

But the key really is to interact with them the very least possible. Monosyllabic answers are allowed, and you can just use their name whenever you have to refer to them.

If you don't care about changing job, just start looking now. Getting fired is never good for a career, no matter the reason. Employers do not like people who create interpersonal issues. It's a potential liability. Don't wait, just leave.

yeah they'll spin it as you're creating "a hostile work environment" by repeatedly doing it. Look up the news about the recent teachers fired for not using the faggot kids names cause it went against their catholic beliefs

I never use pronouns at work I just use the persons name. Or not at all. When I worked for someone I kept interactions to a minimum
