Can a Lolcow's orbiter's orbiter have orbiters?

Lolcows are the stars, orbiters are the (dwarf) planets. Those planets in turn may have moons orbiting them.
In this analogy, the lolcow's orbiter's orbiter is a moon. A quick search suggested that submoons are theoretically possible but haven't been observed. A number of factors make it highly unlikely for a moon to have submoons.

But that's real life. Is it possible for submoon-level orbiters to exist?
