I keep most of my emergency stuff (aside from firearms) in my jeep. Just stuff like extra clothes, water, non-perishable food, some tools, first aid kit, etc... I don't really go in for the pocket-saw/camp-stove/flint&steel survivalist stuff. I'm not planning to go live in the woods during an emergency. For me it's more about getting the fuck out of Dodge without having to stop as much. If shit really does hit the fan so bad that I actually have to go live in the woods then I'm fucked anyway.

Flint strikers from lighters screwed into block of wood for a sharpener. Handmade hunting knife from old butter knife, a hatchet, and a can.

Honestly in a SHTF situation you should've left population centers yesterday which for me is another advantage to living in rural areas.
 
I don't see why in this hypothetical situation I couldn't just shove the whole army supply store into my bugout bag, but I'll just shove James Bond in it instead.

Thermal goggles, night vision goggles, respirator, compass, sextant, wristwatch, burner phone, walkie-talkies, lockpicking tools, blowtortch, Vanta black clothes, sharpies, revolver, knife, first aid and beef jerky.
 
Relatively small toolkit, 20m rope (for my inevitable suicide), small collection of switchblades and razors, seeds for various vegetables, assortment of long term food rations, large book collection including books on diy and scouting (good for tinder), camping gear, and access to a rifle, something semi rare in Ireland (outside of the IRA)
 
Building on other people's ideas...one Colt Government, one bottle of Laphroaig, and God help you if you get between me and the scotch.

And one bandana. Infinite ammo.

i dont have a bag im just gonna be hot and mooch off someone until i inevitably am eaten for food or killed because im too annoying
 
A bottle of Jameson, two cases of MRE's, 5 cases of beanie weenies, potable water, water purification tablets, water-proof matches, Flint fire starter, field knife, Glock 19, ammo (of course), Safety blankets, Med kit, twine, multitool, oh and one of these
