UK British rape scandal keeps growing, also affects prime minister Starmer

Vulnerable girls and teenagers, some not older than 13, became a victim of grooming (online predation), molestation and rape by groups of older men from a predominantly British-Pakistani background. Some became pregnant, others got addicted to the drugs they were given. After more than ten years, there is still no justice for many of these victims.

In Great Britain it is called the "grooming gang scandal" and it includes thousands of victims, according to some even tens of thousands. The scope keeps growing as more victims are reporting to the police and more evidence comes out that there were criminal grooming gangs active in multiple English cities.

Within in the realm of politics the scandal has been seized by the radical right wing, as legitimization for an anti-islam agenda. Tommy Robinson, a radical right wing activist with milions of subscribes, calles it a "muslim rape gang" and he uses the grooming scandal for his anti-immigration rethoric.

The American tech billionaire Elon musk also put the subject on the radar of the political right, with a series of tweets to his 200 million followers on X. According the Musk, the British authorities have turned a blind eye, including British prime minister Keir Starmer, formerly responsible for the public prosecutor's office.

Fiona Goddard from the north-English city Bradford was one of the victims. From when she was 13 she was molested and raped for five years by a group of predominantly Pakistani men, part of a criminal gang that also traded in weapons and drugs. "I was raped by between fifty and one-hundred men", she tells Nieuwsuur. "They came from across the country".

Goddard grew up in a troubled family and was taken to a shelter at a young age. Many of the victims had no stable household, they were in shelters and or had a mental disability. "It started with a single man", says Goddard. The "loverboy" pretended to be her boyfriend, gave her gifts, took her in and gave her alcohol and drugs. After that she was passed around from man to man and violently raped. "This went on for years."

From investigations and reports it turned that that child protective services, police and justice often did not intervene. "The victims were blamed", says solicitor Amy Clowrey. With her team she represents 200 victims. They were seen as "problem children" or as "child prostitutes". "On top of that there are cases which show that the British police were complicit in the abuse".

Ex-investigator Maggie Oliver, working in the Manchester region, was put on one of the first investigations into the gangs in 2004: Operation Augusta. She describes how she would ask victims on the streets point out where they were raped. She recorded the addresses and wrote down the names of the suspects. She identified almost one-hundred rapists with a Pakistani background that were operating in her region in a network.

But, after a few months, her research disappeared. "It was as if the investigation never existed. None of these child rapists were arrested. The entire police dossier was closed", she recounted.

Oliver offers two reasons. "The children were seen as the lowest class: problem children that chose this "lifestyle" for themselves. But a child that is 12 or 13 years old cannot consent to sex with a 60 year old man", says Oliver. "And the rapists were mostly Pakistani muslim men. People wanted to avoid multicultural tensions".

From another investigation a few years later in another north-English city, Rotherham, lead by professor Alexis Jay, it turned out that in a the period from 1997 to 2014 an estimated 1400 children were raped. The perpetrators: Mainly men with a British-pakistani background, but according to the rapport the ethnicity was insufficiently recorded by the authorities out of fear of being called racist.

In the meantime there have been countless local investigations in grooming gangs in various British cities. There have been a lot of apologies from police and youth care and promises made by politicians. Over a hundred perputrators have been found guilty in cities such as Rotherham, Bradford and Telford. According to Clowrey this is just the tip of the iceberg. "The vast majority of victims have not stepped forth. It is simply too traumatic".

A countrywide investigation into the scandal, announced by prime minister Starmer, has not started yet. There is disagreement regarding the terminology surrounding the perpetrators and the scale of the investigation. A number of victims that were willing to cooperate, have now declined, including Fiona Goddard: "I don't trust the police or authorities anymore. I feel abandoned by everyone."

The click bait headline is just that, the only connection to Keir is that like every other politician he's done fuck and all to address this and never will.

Every minute a filthy pakistani is allowed to breathe the air, in any country but Pakistan, is an injustice. They are an invasive species of subhuman ratpeople, and they deserve to be exterminated like any other pest.

They must be rounded up and herded into the delousing chambers where this blight upon humanity will finally be fixed with gas and fire.

Maggie Oliver is a hero, and the way she was treated by the authorities is a disgrace.

from a predominantly British-Pakistani background
Of course they had to crowbar the "British-" in there (but not the Muslim). I wonder if this will be the new "Judeo-Christian values".

People wanted to avoid multicultural tensions
"My greatest fear is that, after 10,000 Pakistani Muslims raped every 12 year old in the country, some bigoted chavs might create Multicultural Tensions."
R.I.P. Norm, your gifts continue to give.

Yes, but apparently the most important part of the gang rapes is that Keir might be inconvenienced by the bad press. I posted it here since I didn't know they didn't actually finish up the investigation yet. I thought they would just accept they couldn't cover up the problem, jail the criminals too burnt to be covered for, and then call it job's done.

What upset me most was that the third paragraph was crying how this was "abused" by right wingers. You're reporting on a disgusting crime that hasn't been resolved years after it has been uncovered, you're interviewing a woman that recount how she got gang raped as a 13 year old girl, and STILL you think this is the third most important aspect of the story, just after describing the crime and explaining the scope of the crime keeps growing.

Frankly, I just assumed that everyone in power was in on the raping, which is why they actively enabled, defended, and covered it up for so long, and still fight tooth and nail to stop any meaningful inquiries or punishments to speak of. The BBC is filled with child rapists that were guarded for years; didn't Jimmy Saville get knighted despite being a well-known child rapist for decades in the showbusiness circles? And the current king might as well be a mudslime, the way he grovels and kisses their feet while actively ignoring the fact they are openly preying on British girls and women.

Kind of like I assume every fed is a child rapist given the Epstein situation. Such child raping rings do not persist for decades and spread nationwide without the people in power knowing about it and endorsing it. Organized crime always happens with the approval of the government.

I don't think you being against large scale raping of children should need "legitimization", it should kinda just be the default position.
They always say it in such a snooty tone, it's fascinating that they don't realise that people can see them and know what they're doing.
Sneering and rolling their eyes at the working-class thickos (all racists are working class, stupid and uneducated, in their deluded schema) who've come to the idiotic conclusion that just because an astronomical number of Pakistani Muslim men are vile immoral predatory cunts, that we should regard the Pakistani Muslim community with suspicion. So stupid right?! 😂

They do think that the worst thing about thousands of girls being sexually tortured for decades on end is the possibility of Muslims experiencing any blowback. I'm convinced that they genuinely do think this way. Racist ideas and anti-islam sentiment literally are worse than unimaginable sexual depravity being inflicted on children, in their minds.

It's because these soulless creatures simply don't give a fuck that all these girls were groomed and raped, so they assume nobody else could - so any group of people making a noise about it must be just doing it to further their own political aims.

Only if he and Downing Street cannot contain the press or issue a D-notice.

He'd be able to control most of the MSM, might have an issue or two getting The Daily Mail and Daily Express to 'comply' but Guido and other outlets would have more freedom.

Plus, Lord Kempsell has his connections as well.

I think they just don't want to be seen as "racist". I mean for fucks sake the police knew about this yxears ago but was prohibited to investigate because the targets were Pakistani and that would be seen as racist. What it needs is some lone wolf Punisher who goes through those communities and starts throwing Mnolotovs through windows and he or she proclaims "The firebombing won't stop until the investigations starts" I saw older videos when they caught some of these animals and I heard that they also targeted Indian girls. They quickly stopped this because their fathers accompanied them while being armed with their traditional combat knifes

If I start reading this and it's not about Starmer being Bacha Bazi'd by durkas then I'm going to say it doesn't affect him nearly enough.

"People", huh? The people themselves just didn't want to make a fuss? We're sure "people" aren't JUST the politicians (implying they're people lol).

"Well of course the child rape or whatever but we mustn't let THE RIGHT spread anti-Islamist hate WE MUST PUT HUMAN DIGNITY ABOVE ALL ELSE!"
