https://news.sky.com/story/row-over-new-greggs-vegan-sausage-rolls-heats-up-11597679 (https://archive.ph/5Ba6o)

A heated row has broken out over a move by Britain's largest bakery chain to launch a vegan sausage roll.

The pastry, which is filled with a meat substitute and encased in 96 pastry layers, is available in 950 Greggs stores across the country.

It was promised after 20,000 people signed a petition calling for the snack to be launched to accommodate plant-based diet eaters.

But the vegan sausage roll's launch has been greeted by a mixed reaction: Some consumers welcomed it, while others voiced their objections.

Cook and food poverty campaigner Jack Monroe declared she was "frantically googling to see what time my nearest opens tomorrow morning because I will be outside".

While TV writer Brydie Lee-Kennedy called herself "very pro the Greggs vegan sausage roll because anything that wrenches veganism back from the 'clean eating' wellness folk is a good thing".

One Twitter user wrote that finding vegan sausage rolls missing from a store in Corby had "ruined my morning".

Another said: "My son is allergic to dairy products which means I can't really go to Greggs when he's with me. Now I can. Thank you vegans."

TV presenter Piers Morgan led the charge of those outraged by the new roll.

"Nobody was waiting for a vegan bloody sausage, you PC-ravaged clowns," he wrote on Twitter.

Mr Morgan later complained at receiving "howling abuse from vegans", adding: "I get it, you're all hangry. I would be too if I only ate plants and gruel."

Another Twitter user said: "I really struggle to believe that 20,000 vegans are that desperate to eat in a Greggs."

"You don't paint a mustach (sic) on the Mona Lisa and you don't mess with the perfect sausage roll," one quipped.

Journalist Nooruddean Choudry suggested Greggs introduce a halal steak bake to "crank the fume levels right up to 11".

The bakery chain told concerned customers that "change is good" and that there would "always be a classic sausage roll".

It comes on the same day McDonald's launched its first vegetarian "Happy Meal", designed for children.

The new dish comes with a "veggie wrap", instead of the usual chicken or beef option.

It should be noted that Piers Morgan and Greggs share the same PR firm, so I'm thinking this is some serious faux outrage and South Park KKK gambiting here.

Get a VPN, learn to use Tor, get a shortwave radio, learn how to use smoke signals, because retards like this guy are going to speedrun the entire Western world into the Hellscape that awaits us.

Unironically kill yourself.

'ENGLISH BETTER OFF DEAD' (X) graffiti in Bournemouth, Jews most affected. Sounds like angry Spaniards and their anti-tourism shit (which I half sympathise with due to how corporations and AirBnB absolutely skull-fuck them)
A popular UK seaside town has been rocked after anti-English graffiti was discovered on a clifftop wall path. Bournemouth, in Dorset, is one of England's most famous seaside towns. But a huge piece of graffiti slamming Brits has left locals stunned. The graffiti in question was found on a clifftop path in Boscombe, just east of the centre of the town.
Written in Spanish, it translates to "S*** English people are better off dead". Spotted on Wednesday evening, it marks the latest in a line of incidents involving graffiti in the area. Other incidents involving offensive graffiti in Bournemouth include the appearance in an area of with a significant Jewish population, of anti-Semitic messages and swastikas.

The head of Labour's group on Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council Patrick Canavon condemned the behaviour.

Mr Canavon said: "It is unusual that it is written in Spanish, but that doesn't necessarily mean it was a language student as anyone who speaks Spanish could be responsible.

"The councillors will report the graffiti to BCP Council and it will be removed. The fact that people are doing it in the first place is completely unacceptable and part of a toxic culture that seems to have been created in recent times, where people feel it is a good idea to attack other people."

Dorset Police said they were unable to find any reference to the incident in their logs.

As well as being a popular destination for Spanish students, with more than 40 language schools, Bournemouth has three migrant hotels accommodating hundreds of asylum seekers which sparked anti-immigration protests last summer.

While it is unusual to have anti-English graffiti in the UK, it has become a common sight in Spain due to ongoing anti-tourism protests.

In Tenerife recently, two expats came across a wall plastered with 'Kill A Tourist', and claimed they saw further disturbing messages during a walk to Bollullo Beach on the island's north coast.

Separately, campaign group Menys Turisme Més Vida (Less Tourism More Life) has announced a protest in Palma, a hugely popular destination for British holidaymakers on the island of Majorca, on July 26, timed to coincide with the peak school holiday period.

The protests have been ongoing for several years, with locals claiming an increase in tourist-focused Airbnbs as upped prices in city centres and forced residents out into the suburbs.

You think I'm "gullible" in believing that feeding kids an endless stream of AI slop and unrealistic lifestyles is not a good thing? That having a space with their families, away from online influences and the scrutiny of their peers is something we should encourage?

Maybe you can explain why having your access to children restricted makes you so angry?

We interrupt the ongoing argument about what to call bread VPNs and online child safety to announce that

Palestine Action ban is lawful, Court of Appeal rules

The government's proscription of Palestine Action as a terror organisation is lawful, the Court of Appeal has ruled.

In one of the most significant rulings on national security in recent years, five of the most senior judges in the country overturned an earlier decision from the High Court that the ban had breached the right to protest and had been incorrectly taken by ministers.

Palestine Action has remained banned since that ruling in February to allow for further legal arguments and give the government time to consider an appeal.

But at a hearing on Monday, five Court of Appeal judges concluding the government's decision to proscribe the group "struck a fair balance".

The proscription made it a criminal offence to belong to or support Palestine Action, punishable by up to 14 years in prison.

Thousands of people have been arrested at demonstrations in the months since the ban came into force in July last year.

Lady Chief Justice Baroness Carr and four other judges said that the government's policy on banning terrorism groups meant the home secretary had been legally entitled to decide the group should be proscribed - although an attempt to appeal this to the Supreme Court is now likely.

She said it was not a "sustainable proposition" to portray it as a non-violent protest group.

"Palestine Action overly promotes unlawful violence that amounts to terrorism… It is not like the Suffragettes," she said.

She said the group had neither disowned nor condemned three incidents so far judged by ministers to amount to terrorism.

The threats posed by Palestine Action had been the most important factor in the lawful decision-making, Baroness Carr said, including how the group clandestinely organised and targeted lawful businesses.

That included defence firms involved in UK national defence and assisting Ukraine. The home secretary had been best placed to judge the impact of those threats, said the court.

Kids shouldn't be on the Internet, if they end up there anyway that's a failing by their parents/guardians and not something I should have to buttholedoxxx over "for the children".

The ???ing is gay and leftoid pilled and exactly what the government wants, there is no W for you here, your opinion on the matter is elemental dogshit and no amount of umming and ahhhing over dialectics is gonna fix that.

Peter Kyle, you shouldn't be using KiwiFarms.
Getting under 16s off social media is a good thing, it's the consequences of this approach that are the issue. You could maybe also argue that having a rule that nobody under the age of 16 should be out in public without adult supervision after 10pm. After all, why would kids be out that late? They should be at home. To enforce it, we just need everyone to carry biometric ID on them at all times so we can verify how old you are if we stop you in the street. To assist with this, we're also asking that everyone carries a device that logs their locations at regular intervals, to ensure that children are indeed being supervised by adults. Why would you have an issue with this - are you mad that you can't meet up with kids at midnight in the park?

It's genuinely baffling to me that the utterly banal statement "social media is bad for under 16s but I have concerns about how it will be implemented and abused" can result in suicide encouragement and allegations of being retarded.

Which is exactly what I said you fucking retard.
You attempted to suggest someone who was angry about this new proposal was only angry because they're a nonce. Which is what the Government's been doing. You're also falling for the line that this is specifically to protect children, when anyone with two eyes and a brain can work out it's because they want restrictive device-level monitoring.
I don't think I'm the retard here.

what is the mood in the uk? are normies talking about NI or is it not in public consciousness?
I asked my family and close friends, and the consensus was basically, "Just looked it up. Btw, I've bought the new Forza."
From England, and a few days ago, prior to the ireland stuff kicking off, I got into a taxi driven by a white guy, it was a guy who usually busses doctors to hospitals, and we eventually got into talking about politics because he very obviously wasn't happy about all the subcontinental retards with worthless third world university "degrees" that he needs to transport. After some brief power level probing, He went to talking about how we support Restore and Rupert, and he ended up talking about how he's ready to fight if neccessary and threw out a Roman.
🤣
Where I live in Norf FC, I'm seeing more and more acts of outright hostility, from a range of different people. This ultimately means nothing but it's nice to see. An especial favourite was a wee girl asking her mum why two tongue clickers who were talking okka-booka-ese why they weren't speaking English. The mums response was,"because they're ignorant and rude".
I'm also in NorfFC, and at work I'm noticing more customers are saying they are coming into my shop "to support a proper business", usually followed up by "you know, not like those....." and they reel off lots of varieties of either naming ethnicities, types of people, or types of money laundering fronts such as vape shops or barbers which are multiplying on our little high street.
I am in the vicinity of NORF FC, and I've not heard anyone say anything.

I do, however, see the flags up, banners on bypasses and increasingly more graffiti up. Which is a bit bizarre when walking down the canals.

There is the odd schizo grandma.
The consensus from the centre or right seems to feel that this is the beginning of the end. From the various groups of people I have talked to, they are saying, "about time." Another missing factor is that many people aren't saying it's bad.

I assume, with what I know of civil wars, that it will gradually escalate each time until the system buckles. It is clearly evident from the government that, unlike Southport (2024), the feeling of revolution has breached contagion. This, with the dwindling infrastructure, will get harder and harder to manage with each successive skirmish.
I think there will be literally decades of low-level hostility. But I am part of the "nothing ever happens" gang.
Nobody even pretends to give a toss about Ulster, it's anglo Detroit with nicer scenery and paler negroes is all.
If you think we'll need TOR to connect you seriously overestimate the efficacy of our overlords, just stick it on the teletext and we'll be fine.
I generally forget that NI is part of the UK.

All online communication in the UK is monitored.
Did anyone see Yasmin Alibhai-Brown or whatever the fuck she's called mouthing off about the gall of White Britons talking about criminal browns? She literally said it wasn't fair that we talk about brown rapists and stabbers because White men do it too, so when we condemn browns doing it, it means we think it's okay when Whites do it???

So basically, she thinks that browns should be allowed to stab and rape Whites because Whites stab and rape each other. Per capita? I've never even heard of her! Thick bint. They just CANNOT keep their fucking heads down for FIVE MINUTES and allow the natives to lick their wounds, can they? Nope, got to keep on poking the bear.
That old crone is using ye olde strategy of saying stupid rage bait and then complaining about it when someone is pissed up on X/Twitter/Facebook calls her a cunt and she should end herself.

She literally exists only because people continue to give her attention. Give her none.

Think the cat's out of the bag on this one, there will be working class lads in England thinking "fuck it, I'll start a paramilitary cell with the boys" in the same way that someone finally gets around to booking a lads holiday. Maybe nothing competent or efficient yet, but an escalation. There were a few protests today with quite a lot of them in all black from the get go.
Don't be silly.
The way the BBC is glazing Scotland at this World Cup you'd think the whole island was Scotland, only been out of the WC for 28 years with the way they are acting it's like if Brazil wasn't at a WC for 28 years. Wales hadn't qualified for a WC for 64 years and I don't recall us getting a bank holiday, even BBC Wales didn't give much of a shit. Am i just miserable?
They probably have someone Scottish doing all the coverage. Let them, like the English, have the opportunity to be knocked out of a WC during a penalty shootout (if they get there).

Also I would ignore any of the "Bread and Circus" events.
I have TOR ready but they’re going to use this an excuse to clamp down even further. Bunch of utter cunts that they are.
Yeah, I am starting to use TOR more and more. Funnily enough, one of the last lines of defence regarding VPNs was Healey and all of his group are gone. Healey understood that the military and cybersecurity live on VPNs, but also County Council staff. The number of times the NHS is attacked is mind-blowing, and Starmer is giving bad actors the keys. We are about to be fucking crippled.

As someone who has worked in the industry, he has set UK standards back decades. Our country has the same security as a country in the early 2000s on the internet because it has stripped everything away. My boss is a "liberal," but the stuff they have been saying the past couple of weeks has really shown me how much the businesses hate Starmer. I heard someone call Reeves a "dozey bitch." In front of the boss and management, the company is on a government tender.

How the fuck can companies come to the UK and operate a business with no internet security?
You will need to have separate clearnet / darknet identities.

Take some tips from ex-darknet vendors. Sam only got caught because his cousin didn't follow his instructions.

Apart from TOR and VPN, there isn't much choice. Both will keep going for the foreseeable future. A lot of them are compromised anyway in different ways with different forms of analysis, so they can still catch you on them. But both make the haystack bigger to find you (the needle) in it.
How is TOR compromised exactly? I hear a bunch of this stuff, but honestly most of it seems to be FUD.
They could ban VPN's for personal use if you are not a registered company. That would be one way to do it, but really that's a long way off. That time would come when SHTF in a big way, and let's face it we're a long way from that now with all the bread and circuses we got. Ok, the bread is a bit stale and getting ever more expensive, and the circuses are boring as shit, but still..
Employees use VPNs. They can't even do this stuff in places like the UAE and China effectively.

You just set up a VPN in another country and set up WireGuard, and you are done.
I think you're safe for a while, and if you've figured out TOR and VPN, then you're already ahead of the curve. There's a few more years mileage left in this tech yet. I would say though research both a little deeper if you can because even they are not created equal. Have a back up strategy in place, like replacing your currently used VPN with another that is proven not to keep logs and any other extraneous data.
And remember, they love shit like TOR and VPN because there's many ways it can be compromised if you stick your head above the parapet and ping their RADAR. They love it that you think it's secure and keep your guard down so they can track you and gather more evidence. There's no security through obscurity, and even with TOR and VPN, you kind of need to know the limitations of both.
Often most darknet vendors, hackers, etc. get caught because they do something stupid, like linking their real identity to their identity on the darknet.

e.g., IntelBroker got caught because he was doing a lot of this stuff on a Microsoft account.

These people are almost never caught because of issues with these technologies themselves.
I don't understand why anyone would phonepost at all given the circumstances, both Google AND Apple (basically the entire market) have implemented ID checking based on government requirements and the government has already mentioned that phone companies have the ability to monitor real time activity, they just need to turn it on. Tor on your phone isn't going to help you if the entire fucking PHONE is going to give you away.
It depends on how paranoid you are. TOR on your phone will be better than not using it at all.
They can't do shit against us who are already on here sneeding but they can make it that much harder for normies to find the farms for example. You'd have to spread it word of mouth and then all they know of the farms is the whole Keffals debacle so they think we're /pol/.
Most normies are never going to make it to the farms.
It was a pain in the ass to find a copy of Tor for my new laptop without using a VPN. Even shit like Internet Archive is blocked without a VPN. The UK's internet is a fucking joke without a VPN or Tor and they want to make it so the normies can't get them.
You don't need to download Tor via a VPN. I can access the Internet Archive fine on the clearnet without a VPN. It isn't blocked.
The British state's surveillance is first and foremost reactive. They gather the information so that they can use it against anyone who becomes a problem. If you are a named person causing them embarrassment or gathering support; or if you are anonymous but still gathering support, then you get noticed and only then does the gathered information against you become relevant. Lucy Connolly's crime wasn't that she said she didn't care if the migrant hotels were set fire to. Her crime was people agreeing with her. The British state knows that even angry humans look to a focal point or leader to direct them. And they are well practiced at identifying them early and dealing with them. One way or another.
Yes, this is true. When someone gets noticed, they will just comb their social media and any accounts they can tie directly back to you.

What people should do is not post shit drunk on social media under their real names. Have your clearnet persona be completely separate from your other personas online you may use.

A lot of people get visited by the plod because they drink and shoot their mouths off on social media. The most dangerous shit you can do is drink and use a keyboard.
That's why I said to work out an alternative strategy. Of course most of these are honey pots that just want to take your cash as well. Mullvad - send them cash in the post - give them your generated serial number. One example of a working alternative. But yeah... No one uses Proton. Then again, depends what you want to do with it all. I'd say you need a fairly robust VPN to post on the farms...
You can use Monero. There are ways to buy Bitcoin / Monero anonymously.
Also, you should get an external hard drive to store installers and executables of your forbidden warez. And a USB to turn into a live USB of a non-pozzed operating system that you can boot from in case of emergencies - I’d go with Tails for maximum privacy schizo potential, or Slackware for something with more day-to-day utilities and hardware compatibility (Tails can sometimes be a bit fussy in that regard).
Use Tails / Whonix and/or any decent Linux distribution that isn't Ubuntu.

Slackware is just painful these days.
Would you like to join GCHQ? You can trust the government, I promise.
I've had a phone call after I did some hacking/security training, i.e., Hack The Box. Which spooked the ever-living fuck out of me.

I've spoken about this earlier on in the thread. There are recruiters for IT positions in GCHQ, but the pay is basically shit and the recruitment process is painful.

Not the person you were replying to but it is gullible. None of this is about protecting kids. If they wanted to protect kids we’d have gallows full of pedos being disposed of, not judges handing out minor wrist slaps for terabytes of child porn. We’d have full investigations of pedo networks and rape gangs, of the charities and NGOs that enables them. We don’t. They’re still doing it, as are half the establishment.
I have kids. They want to do some stuff online. I restrict what they do. I do not need daddy government to do that because I pay the bills, and I set the rules in my house. My kids want to play a game online ? Great. They can. I lock it down, there’s no chat enabled. You want to chat to your mate, while you play? you call them and do that, works fine. All settings locked down. Chat logs and messages checked regularly, kids play games where I can see them. Zero unsupervised internet access. Zero social media. Don’t care how much whining, don’t care what their mates have.
NONE of this is about protecting children. If we were protecting children there’d be an anti pedo pogrom going on and you’d be able to see the stacked bodies from space.
It’s about using children, and ‘sounding reasonable’ as a lever to get normies to nod and say yes well, social media IS bad isn’t it someone should do something about it not me of course I can’t be arsed watching what my kids do.
All these laws start like this. You create a demonised thing (because social media IS cancer) and you say to anyone who opposes you are you on the side of these pedos/why do you want access/you’re not one of them are you? Nothing to hide nothing to fear! And the normie brain shorts out and begs, just begs for daddy government to do something.
Bang. Another freedom gone. Freedom to speak anonymously is CRITICAL to free societies. This needs to be fought tooth and nail. It’s nothing to do with protecting children it’s about censoring the freedom of YOU to speak, and enabling daddy government to lock you up if you ever become a threat with your thoughts and words.

Maybe you can explain why having your access to children restricted makes you so angry?
Argh, yes, the loaded question which is supposed to insinuate that we are paedophiles because we don't want our ability to freely associate to be infringed upon.

I suggest you stop now before you embarrass yourself any further.

Bluesky and discord not being included in the ban tells me all i need to know about how serious 'protecting the keeedssss' is.

Horrific rumours coming out of arbroath (and bein shared by 'our tommeh') - a 17 year old girl was reportedly gang raped by the train station and police are covering it up. (X) If true, this is fucking appalling, if not true, it shows there is a serious lapse in police communication.
1781526678548.png

Siobahn whyte, mother of Rhiannon Whyte who was murdered by an asylum seeker, was thrown to the ground by police in Brighton. (X) The police really seem to be cracking huh? Do you think the fact they know everyone fucking hates them is making them double down on the brutality?

I was being generous by calling you gullible, you're a complete brain dead retard if you think that anything about this is fundamentally good on any level. It's designed to do absolutely nothing but deanonymise the entire Internet so they can attach everything you do online to your real world identity with the purpose of legally raping you to death and discouraging you from ever speaking out against the government. It's bad on a fundamental level because it's a sinister piece of legislation that is being dressed up as a child safety law, and fuckwits like you routinely fall for this shit. The government itself was making the exact same accusatory argument of "hmm why would you be against this... unless you're a paedo?" that you are trying to do in this response. You are literally brainless niggercattle, and I hope they slaughter you first.

Nothing about this has anything to do with child safety, and I'd go as far to argue that it will have the complete opposite effect of what the government claim it's going to do in terms of protecting kids online. Kids are not as retarded as parents think they are, they will find ways to circumvent it, be it via VPN's and Tor, or just by hanging out in dodgy unregulated parts of the Internet that the British state has zero influence over. This will actively push kids into more closed off and sketchier parts of the Internet, but the government couldn't give a fuck because they don't actually care about children.

Literally everything about the ban you were glazing in your original post is something that could be solved by parents not being irresponsible fucktards who don't monitor what their children do online. Even if this ban was done in good faith (it isn't), I shouldn't be expected to sacrifice my God-given right to privacy and freedom of speech because you're a fat lazy slut who can't keep an eye on your own children.

Again, I would strongly recommend killing yourself as soon as possible. I really don't appreciate you using up resources that someone who actually possesses sentience could make far better use of.

Especially Discord. Isn't it a massive vector for child porn?
I don't know about CSAM. I've never seen any out there. I only use Discord for normie stuff like gaming and following some open-source projects.

What I have seen is softcore/hardcore porn and the occasional like video of a murder on Discord. So protecting the children doesn't make sense if they don't include it. Discord will hide a channel and force you to age-verify if it detects anything in it that is adult material, but their age gate is kind of easy to get around.

Also, there is other groomer activity on there that I've witnessed. I've seen at least one Linux guild that had transsexuals trying to confuse teenagers. I reported it (not that they will do anything) and left the guild.

It does get shared on the platform a lot yes, iirc a lot of their staff are also furries who enjoy cub porn and trannies so make of that what you will. Something I've seen over the years is that generally they do not act unless a report is made so you can imagine that a group could very easily exist providing they're relatively close-knit or at least closed off the offending channels to those who would report such content.

I think you're retarded for not thinking that this sort of thing should start at the home and never with the Government or any sort of authoritative body that is not the parent. Regardless of whether or not the Government will or will not implement it in a way deemed acceptable (which frankly is impossible given that kids can very easily spoof the age checks using say their parents ID), this is something that should start at home, NOT with the Government.
