And I’ll bang the drum of ‘it’s not racism’ over and over too, because you can’t develop a strong league and national team if all your players are playing abroad. How do the likes of Nigeria, India, Saudi Arabia, New Zealand, Peru etc develop a strong league with a good structure to develop talent when all the best players fuck off abroad? No good players challenging others in the home country’s teams, no teams challenging others, international players unused to the conditions or culture at home by then. You’ll never have a flourishing home league if you always lose your best players (look at Ireland).

Lastly, where do all the good English players go? Stuck in lower divisions with no investment of time and money into their development, because big teams would rather lash out Sky TV money for instant fixes from abroad. Then people wonder why the apparent best country in the world for football isn’t winning the World Cup every four years. It’s a slap in the face to every young English footballer who wants to improve and play in and for his own country.

We desperately need the three foreigner rule back, but as it means way less money being made, it’ll never happen. Cunts, the lot of ‘em.

But if you're trying to persuade normies, just tell them that limiting foreigners is normal, and off the top of my head I know they do it in Japanese baseball and Indian cricket at least.

My schizo theory on Burnham is that he is going to be the UK's version of Mark Carney.

The reason I believe this is because of the following:

Last year in Canada, Pierre Poilievre was defeated by Carney. Carney pivoted Canadian energy policy last year, IIRC.

Before Carney was in the picture, nobody thought that there would be another Liberal government.
Trump spent a lot of time embarrassing Trudeau and made a lot of noise about Canada being the 51st state, which made things politically difficult to Poilievre as he was affiliated with Trump or at least in many people's minds.

This activated many Canadians against Poilievre and helped Carney get elected, as this created a rally around the flag effect.

Pierre Poilievre is roughly analogous to Farage. Starmer is roughly analogous to Trudeau.

At the weekend I saw plenty of news articles where North Sea drilling was mentioned. I believe all the media coverage like this is to prime the public.
The fact that changing the policy is even a topic means that this is being discussed currently.

If this all lines up, Burnham is going to be more of what Mark Carney is doing in Canada after Trudeau left.
The more insane stuff is going to be reigned in, and they are going to reform / fix the energy policy.

The UDA has declared war on the far right in north Antrim, firing shots at the home of a notorious racist and issuing a death threat to his friend.
Self-confessed neo-Nazi Mark Brown and convicted loyalist rioter Grundle have been at the forefront of anti-immigration demonstrations around the north coast.

The pair, who are leading figures in the far-right group Our Northern Ireland Voice (ONIV), have gained notoriety in recent months, which has caused tension with elements of the north Antrim UDA.
Last week, shots were fired at Brown’s home in Portrush, leaving bullet holes in windows and smashing panes of glass.

On Thursday, Grundle said in an online video message that had been subjected to a threat on his life, suggesting it could be from the Muslim Brotherhood or dissident republicans. However, Sunday Life understands the threat came from the UDA.
A car believed to have been used in the attack on Brown’s house was found burnt out in a forest near Ballymoney shortly after the incident.
When Sunday Life called to the address, the homeowner declined to discuss the matter and threatened to call the police.

Brown, who has convictions for race-hate attacks and beating a woman, and who was questioned by police about a UDA murder, has been refusing to keep his head down despite the growing tensions.
He was seen in Coleraine celebrating the Twelfth and is believed to have been in Belfast for the Orange Order’s main demonstration.
UDA sources told Sunday Life that Brown is a marked man as they blame him for playing a major role in stirring up tensions in the area via ONIV.
He has spoken at the group’s rallies in Coleraine and regular protests outside a hotel in Portrush that’s housing immigrants.

“Between his right-wing politics and the fact he thinks he is a big loyalist when he is viewed by most people as a joke, he has a lot of enemies.”
“Mark Brown is a nasty piece of work, especially when he is drinking, but his antics will no longer be tolerated,” added the UDA insider.
“He has p***ed off paramilitaries and ordinary punters he has fallen out with in drunken arguments.
“I would be watching my back if I was him. A lot of people in Coleraine would like to teach him a lesson.”

The PSNI has appealed for information about the shooting at Brown’s property on the Craigahulliar Road in the town.
A detective inspector said: “A number of shots had been fired at two bedroom windows of the house, as well as the front door.
“Police believe a car found burnt out in the forest area just off the Conagher Road in Ballymoney was involved in the incident and have issued an appeal.
“We are appealing for anyone who was in the Craigahulliar area of Portrush on Thursday night, or saw a Volkswagen Passat or Jetta in the Portrush or Ballymoney area that night or Friday morning to get in touch.”
Officers said two people were in the property, but no one was injured

In his video, Grundle said: “I have been the recipient of a death threat by so-called criminal elements. The word on the street is it may be some sort of Muslim brotherhood, could be linked to dissidents, but my life is at immediate threat now.
“The PSNI weren’t much help, just handing me a booklet and asking how my home security is. I’m not going to back away into a corner, I’m not going to hide. I will walk about my town freely as I have done for 32 years without a worry in my brain.”
Former glue sniffer Grundle served a prison sentence for taking part in a loyalist riot in Coleraine.

They can basically only do things like this (attempting to blanket ban him got shot down in court), and the problem is a lot of political announcements outside Number 10 don't come with much of a head's up, so the police can't manage to set up an exclusion zone in time. Thus, we get Steve's musical medleys during any official announcement.

I did find it amusing that a lot of journalists were laughing along when Steve played "Things Can Only Get Better" during Rishi's resignation, but when he blasted Ode to Joy during Starmer's resignation it was suddenly "hugely disrespectful".

If they wanted to stop what he is doing, they should have cut off his funding mechanism, which is probably a few whales.

It's an interesting comparison, and I wouldn't be surprised if Burnham's camp do make some overtures in that direction. However I think the problem he'll have is that the Labour backbenchers are so collectively insane that he'll end up having to either give up entirely or be faced with fighting a near permanent inner party civil war with his own MPs over every single issue.

It's the big problem that any PM Labour brings in will have to deal with, the party MPs are genuinely insane and have a single minded desire to destroy their own country to the point where they're more than happy to also destroy their own party and careers if they feel that a leader is doing anything to slow that destruction down. Even if said slowing down is just lip service to calm the public down, they're just that psychotic.

And that's assuming that he actually has any intention of rolling back the more insane stuff rather than just carrying on with it, but being less in your face about it than Starmer was.

BBC is still briefing Mahmood today. I think this amount of media hype indicates he wants Mahmood as chancellor, but he's trying to get some sort of metric (e.g. from the markets) that'd allow him to justify it to his base. Honestly it'd make more sense for him to leave her with the Home Office.

The reshuffle has started, as they always do, with the sackings. As expected, nearly all of the occupants of the Starmerbunker are ditched; Steve Reed, Peter Kyle, David Lammy and Rachel Reeves. Sky report that Reeves was offered a different Cabinet job but declined it.

EDIT: And Hermer goes too, thank God.

Yeah, UK Labour is far less disciplined than Canadian Labour. Probably since they have to keep up more of a democratic facade than Canada.
