This is why "duelling pistols" are generally a matched set meant to be as close to identical as possible. You cannot have something the other does not and bread & butter shooting skills will almost always outweigh any specific benefit from utilizing a meme accessory.

You know, I always assumed that the pair of pistols were for YOUR personal use, not to be shared with your opponent. That makes way more sense.
