This is so classic John. He always acts like an elitist snob wherever he posts and thinks he’s better than everyone else.
On Susan’s Place he was the better tranny and a more “real” woman. On the Porsche forums he’s the better Porsche fan for the cars he’s bought and the ones he doesn’t like. On the anti-gg subreddit he was the better anti-gg warrior...
The reality is John sucks at everything and isn’t better than anyone. He looks like a ghoul and has 4 dresses he cycles through every day while driving around in the Porsche his husband’s money bought. John and Frank will never be able to buy the one thing he wants....respect and class. They’re always going to be buffoons looking in on the 1%/tech industry from the outside.

To be fair, a 90's Jeep is a decent choice if you like repairing, and it won't break the bank; you can get a Wrangler for about $7k, and there's a couple of $5k options in John's area. Not a bad entry point for picking up the hobby.
And I bet John has zero experience or interest in actually learning repair and maintenance on a Jeep. He probably just googled around for an opinion on good starter cars so he could brag about his aspirations on Twitter.
I would love to see him try this, because all your options are over 100k miles and likely to need repairing very soon. It's like a guaranteed fail-brag on a budget.

That Z-Brush detail sentence was also exceptional.
Also most places will use mudbox instead of z-brush if they're using autodesk programs like Maya for modeling. Most of the time they're going to use them for bump maps and difference/diffuse/displacement stuff in post.
Like for example Cobblestone roads, they're not going to individually model every stone, but if you make the texture and bump map in Mudbox or Z-brush you then import the texture and apply it to a flat bare plane. Then apply whatever modifier/behavior to whatever engine you're using with post production enabled through the camera, and in the final rendered scene that shit is going to look like every stone in there is it's own individual object with gaps between them and everything. It's also a good way to do scales for a lizard texture.

Does porshe even let people work on thier engines? Like would anyone at a Jiffy Lube have the knowledge or skill to repair one? They seem to be very controlling over who owns certain models of thier cars I would think they would be very controlling over who can repair them.

I can definitely see little John Flynt reading Nancy Drew instead of the Hardy Boys, despite the beatings he would get every day at school. (Just kidding. The first Nancy Drew audiobook wasn't released till 2002 -- when John turned 25 -- and fewer than thirty are now available in that format.)
Also, only semiliterate John Flynt would call a Nancy Drew children's book a novel. They were novellas, something John should know because his Celestial slimeball of a husband has tried to weasel his way to a real Hugo by writing an unreadable novelette published by his corrupt pals at Analog.
