Wu just refiled the year end 2018 report with the FEC. This is going to be interesting. She rather skated on the fact that the April report is complete nonsense because of the order of filings/order that the filings were checked in. If you look at it, something like 60K extra money appears like magic between January and April. I wonder if this refiling will now attract attention to the discrepancy.

Worse, they've disappeared the SECOND loan as well. I think this means the actual cash total on hand ought to be something like -70K or something. Their accounts are now a radioactive disaster area.

I have to say that the FEC must have almost no decent automation to catch these errors. Their computer systems must be complete shit. If you did this kind of thing with the UK inland revenue you'd get automated threatening letters immediately.

The fact that John Flynt can make tens of thousands of dollars disappear in a flash may cause a certain amount of dismay at the FEC, but is certainly no surprise to Frank Wu.

This is Bri and Frank filing taxes:

At this point, I'll be surprised if the FEC does take action against the Wu scampaign. They probably make a fair bit of money on repeatedly fining them

If only they did fine them, it'd agree.
I really don't know what the FEC's game is, why aren't their fines just automated for the sort of offence Wu commits? They've had a number of occasions where Wu has violated FEC rules and they've never levied the statutory fine on any occasion. It's like they don't want the money.

I suspect what's happening is that they've got no automated system for levying and collecting fines for routine infractions and that everything has to have a human in the loop at some point. That means that it's not worth the FEC's time to collect from small time operators like Wu. I can't help but think that some system upgrades and a stricter policy would pay for itself if they had a mind to do it though.

Edit: They've now refiled the April and July reports and, miracle of miracles, actually corrected the cash flow so it's at least consistent from one report to the next. One of the loans has reappeared, moved to April, but the other one is still just gone. Honestly, the way these numbers fluctuate from original report to the inevitable refiling it's clear that they're basically indistinguishable from random numbers. It's clear the Wus aren't keeping proper accounts and they really ought to be audited.

Who is "us", John? My man @RepStephenLynch crushed your goblin ass to 70+% of the vote.

John, this would have a lot more philosophical force if not for the fact that everyone already knows that you're an utterly self-serving piece of shit scammer, fuck off.

I want to know more about this testimony about corporate money in politics. Where did this come from? Why does the Massachusetts State House care what Brianna Wu has to say on the subject? What hearing is this even supposed to be?

It seems to be for the Joint Committee on Veterans and Federal Affairs which was considering a constitutional amendment to overturn Citizens United: https://malegislature.gov/Events/Hearings/Detail/3246

If you prefer prefer President Pence, who really have something against you over the bumbling spectacle that is President Trump, offensive to your aesthetics but mostly harmless, you're really smart and surely treat politics as a real thing and not sport to cheer on.

Nice to see Wu wore a new dress: a low-res black dress that hides the stains.

The weird part is that I don't disagree with him on some things. I mean, he doesn't sound unreasonable on some of his points. But, then I realize that this is Wu we're talking about. He absolutely is fucking delusional -- ffs, he corrected a news story where they referred to him as a trans woman because he "identifies" as a woman. So, now I'm questioning the very things that I agree with him on.

Maybe people like him and Jonathan Yaniv really are some kind of deep operation to destroy the left. Because this trans thing is actively repelling me away from the left

I am out of the loop, so this is probably late and gay, but...

Alex Jones is suing Brianna Wu for defamation?! What?

So John shows up to testify before s legislative committee. Alone. Where are his constantly-mentioned-but-never-seen staffers? His legion of volunteers? His battalion of policy advisers?

And of course John Flynt wants to alter the First Amendment, It's a major impediment to his career as a thief.

What is your basis of comparison John because you've experienced neither

They're only as real as the person with whom you are in that "online relationship". If I pretend to be an 18 year old Ukrainian swimsuit model that loves overweight, balding, middle aged dudes -- you might think we have a meaningful, emotional connection, but I will probably just drain your bank account and move on to the next sucker. It is very easy to fake caring and emotions online. Much harder to do it face to face. Plus, you'd figure out pretty quickly that I'm not the hot girl I claimed to be.

I enjoy chatting with like-minded individuals, but I'm not exceptional enough to think that everyone online is exactly who they claim to be. I've had people I've never met but just chatted with online for a while tell me I'm one of their best friends (or their actual best friend) and that always rings a danger bell. Maybe I'm just wired differently, but I just don't form that close a connection with someone I've never seen. I'm too cynical and suspicious to really get that close to anyone online.

Plus, humans still need physical contact, too. Not just sexual -- but platonic handshakes and hugs, too. You can see what happens to kids in terrible orphanages where they never get touched. They end up basket cases. You need real life interaction. If on-line friendship is all you get, you're going to be pretty dysfunctional.

After the Alex Jones lawsuit, I'm looking forward to Wu's inevitable videotaped deposition, assuming it gets to that point. There are so many pathological lies that could be pointed out and questioned in that type of forum.

Sadly this will probably only serve to raise Wu's profile. Still, I live in hope that one day Wu is going to fly too close to the sun and her whole edifice of lies will come crashing down. (I know, :optimistic::optimistic::optimistic:)
